Another international holiday that begins with a race! Midnight flight to a 4hr drive from Christchurch to Lake Tekapo. 1 hour nap before showtime. In absolute awe of the beauty NZ has to give.

For my first trail race, wasn’t too sure what to expect but boy was that tough. Warmer day but the support on and off course was unreal. @race_tekapo you were a treat!

Official time: 1:55:20 (~550m ele.)

Coming out of the desert to seeing @a_meecao and @vincentnguyen___ was godsent

Breathtaking views up Mt. John summit

In the first 4k’s, had to tackle nearly 300m of elevation, first time ever in a race had to stop and begin walking.

Last k, bumping into will was an extra boost of energy

Less than 3 weeks til GC mara 🌅

First time hitting the TON. Growing up with an unhealthy relationship with running, it’d just be for conditioning or to let off some steam. I dont know if i fully quite love the sport yet, but have met some real G’s on the way. Time to sharpen up and dice it up these next couple weeks. 🗡️🍽️🔪
