There’s nothing like a cloudy sky to highlight all the different layers and colours of my @hodinkyberkus OB-1! ☁️

In my collection, there are watches I’m happy to own and watches I’m proud of owning. The @hodinkyberkus OB-1 is solidly in the second category.

Blurple-icious. Throwback to the ride back from Prague after picking up this indie gem from @hodinkyberkus. Thank you, my friend 🙏🏽💜

Buying a watch is one thing. Having one made specifically for you, a totally different one. Absolutely love my @hodinkyberkus OB-1, just like the journey that led from a random IG story to having it on my wrist!

Around one year ago, while in bed doom scrolling on IG, I came across a story from @hodinkyberkus (posted 7h before) collecting interests for a potential small series of customised time only watches. The subsequent story (posted 3h before) already said something along the lines of “thanks for the overwhelming response”. After the spontaneous “dammit!”, I decided to drop Ondřej a text asking him to let me know in case a slot would free up 🤞🏻

The morning after, I woke up to a very long message providing all sorts of details on the project. I wasn’t yet fully awake, so just answered “I’m in!”. A few hours later, once my brain had finally switched on, I thought of double checking if that message meant I had actually made the cut. When he confirmed I was beyond excited! 🤩

Little did I know, at the time, that the journey would be just as exciting as the destination! ✈️

While discussing the details of the watch with Ondřej was great, the real fun started when he created a group chat with the fellow enthusiasts all over the world who also embraced this project and… the laughter was just endless! ✨

The culmination of it was surely reached around 10 days ago when, with a few of those enthusiasts, we actually met in Prague during the @salonexceptionalwatches to celebrate with Ondřej the delivery of our watches! 🇨🇿

Needless to say, I’m totally in love with my #10! The adventure that led from an IG story to having it on my wrist and all the people I met because of it make it even more special! 💙

Thank you so much Ondřej, @so.frech, @nielsmpe, @hoosier_horologist_, @wristedandwasted, @claeysthibault, @a_wristeddevelopment, @itmpl and all the others for the amazing time! 🙏🏻

Definitely the most exciting and hilarious design processes I’ve been a part of. Presenting one of 11 limited series #OB-1 from the mad genius @hodinkyberkus Even better was making some new friends along the way. 🍻

🚨NWA🚨Finally here! Over a year ago I stumbled upon @hodinkyberkus’ story looking for a group of collectors to make his first series of watches. Luckily I was one of the first to grab a spot and within an hour they were sold out. While it’s the first series of watches every build is unique and they are so very different from each other. This one is so steam punky and rustic while others look very clean and modern. I really like how different every watch turned out. Happy to be the lucky owner of #3 and can’t wait to see the others in the wild.
