I had an amazing time in Italy opening my exhibition “Guardami come se mi amassi / Look at me like you love me”, curated by @renataferri, at @gallerieditalia in Milan.

I also went to Turin to see @antonio_carloni_, who invited me to show my work in Italy, and the @carriemaeweems show at Gallerie d’Italia.

I visited Bologna to see my friend @laudemarc and @spaziolabo, where I had an exhibition in 2023. Discovering the Giorgio Morandi museum and seeing his house was an unexpected surprise.

Thanks to @micamera_milan for hosting a book signing, and my new catalog was also at the @allemandi.libri booth at the Turin International Book Fair.

Thank you to everyone who came to see the show, attend our programs, and get a catalog! It was truly an amazing week and I’m filled with gratitude for everyone who collaborated with me to bring this exhibition and catalog to life.

Friends: if you have ever questioned the importance of art, this political moment is confirming its immense power and value within a functioning, democratic society.

As a visibly queer and nonbinary artist, I am increasingly worried about my safety. I am also experiencing censorship and regularly preparing for backlash to my exhibitions and programs. While it’s unclear what is yet to come, I have already had museums state they would like to work with me, or acquire my work, but they can’t right now due to fears around losing funding.

I’m grateful to those museums and collectors who are staying the course and supporting queer artists, artists of color, and progressive work. We need your support right now more than ever.

Somewhat recent commission for @wboston Boston in partnership with @jasonabowers. Big shoutout to Jason—he was great to work with and instrumental in coordinating with the client and keeping things moving swiftly.

This painting was massive—8ft x 16ft—created with spray paint and paint markers on canvas. It was so large that it had to be stretched on-site inside the W Hotel!

Huge thanks to @a_yellowrose and her team at Thanks! Yea! @atcframing in Boston’s South End for their stellar work, stretching and installing the canvas in record time with precision. #whotel #wboston #vise1 #vise1biston #bostonmurals #bostonartist #bostonstreetart #streetart #bostongraffiti #outkast
