Mission trip to Eugene! I’m so grateful for everyone I had the chance to meet. This week, I learned so much through NCM, and I loved sharing the gospel across the different campuses.

“But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved— and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭2‬:‭4‬-‭7

still not over what we witnessed last Sunday!

we had the privilege of hearing 4 of our young adults share how chasing everything the world promised only left them empty, lonely, exhausted, and searching for more. Different stories. Different backgrounds. Same conclusion: sin and self could never satisfy the soul the way Jesus can

Each of them shared how they encountered the grace and love of Jesus Christ, experienced the power of genuine Christian community centered on Him, and eventually came to a fork in the road where they knew they could no longer keep living for themselves. They turned from sin, placed their faith in Jesus, and publicly declared that He is now Lord of their life

When we celebrate baptisms at River Church, we intentionally take our time with it. We don’t want baptism to become a rushed transition moment between songs and announcements like humans trying to speed-run holy moments because lunch exists. We want people to hear the story. We want space for testimony. We want men and women to boldly proclaim with their own words what Jesus has done in their life as they obey Him through baptism.

And something powerful happens in the room when that takes place. As people from every generation and every background sit togther and hear these testimonies, faith gets strengthened. Doubt loses some of its grip. Hearts soften. People are reminded that God is not distant, cold, or imaginary. Jesus is still saving people. He is still changing lives. He is still bringing dead things back to life.

That’s why baptisms matter so much in the context of the local church.

Kids need to see it. Teenagers need to see it. College students need to see it. parents need to see it. The elderly need to see it.

The whole church family needs regular reminders that the gospel is real and the power of God is still at work today. Jesus is alive. And we got to witness it again last Sunday.

You need others, and others need you. At River Church we’re learning to follow Jesus together, not as spectators but as a family. You are loved, you are valued, and you have a place here. This Sunday we’ll keep diving into the Psalms and celebrating new life in Jesus with baptisms at the end of our second service. Join us at 9:00 AM or 10:45 AM and come find community with us at River!

2025

2025 reminded us that God still changes lives.
People stepped into the water of baptism.
Friends invited friends to follow Jesus.
Students stepped into the Great Commission.
Young adults served, discipled, and went on mission.
Families were cared for.
Leaders were raised up.
The gospel crossed streets, schools, and oceans.

2025 was about deeper faith, bolder obedience, and a church saying yes to what God put in front of us.

We’re grateful and expectant for what God will do in 2026 🎉

Abby-Grayce & Adryn’s gorgeous engagement session is finally on the blog ❤️ link in bio!

AG & A loved documentary style photography, and photos that invoked emotion, so their session was focused on connection and presence versus strict posing. Stay tuned for the blog post on their stunning wedding!
