First Vivo Creative Digital Media Camp complete ✔️ 📸🎥💻

Thank you to the Santa Ana Pueblo and the Tamaya Wellness Center @tamayawellnesscenter_twc for the opportunity to work with a small group of young students over six weeks. We got to teach them skills they wouldn’t normally have access to: photography, videography, editing, graphic design, creative direction, social media, and marketing. In this age of media, these skills are essential. Even if a student never picks up a camera professionally, knowing how to communicate visually and tell a story is an advantage in any field, and a real edge for anyone who wants to start their own business someday.

What stood out most was watching them grow. Each kid came in with their own gifts and instincts, and once we gave them the creative freedom to run with it, you could see their confidence build week over week. My biggest hope is that they walk away with a solid foundation they can keep building on. Whether they take these skills further into a creative path, apply them somewhere unexpected, or just figure out the direction they want to go, that groundwork is theirs now.

Huge shoutout to my co-instructor @jayradriguez , a true creative genius and the best partner and instructor I could ask for. He’s been right with me since day one and we’ve worked on so many projects together now. He’s actually the one who first got me into the creative world back in 2016 and now we’re teaching it together.

Thank you to Prince Robertson and the staff at TWC for the trust and for the opportunity to execute our first creative education program.

And finally, a huge thank you to @cashthe3rd for paving the way with Cultivating Coders and showing what happens when you bring these skills to communities that usually get overlooked. I went through a coding program in 2019 and it was an impactful opportunity that opened my mind to my creative abilities and working with teams to build out projects.

This is just the beginning of our Creative Education programs at Vivo Creative, where we bring stories, brands, and ideas to life.

⛽️ Route 66 Remixed Artist Spotlights - ‘Neon Plátano’ by Helen Atkins

For this spotlight, we captured artist & curator Helen Atkins working on a vibrant piece that will be transformed into an AR experience inside Talin Market. Her work explores identity, memory, and belonging, and this project is no exception.

The piece features a vibrant drawing of a plantain tree, a symbol found across Latin American, Asian, and Caribbean cultures. Through this imagery, Helen honors the diverse communities who shop at Talin Market - those who find comfort, connection, and a taste of home in its international aisles.

Watch the full video on the @OneABQMedia YouTube channel, produced in collaboration with @vivo.crtv, and discover how this mural connects past and present as part of Route 66 Remixed.
