On tour again,

in Oregon wit Black and Brown stories worth recording.

Nights got cold (but the Lord made sure) the soul stayed warmer then.

But still… he’s hoping, that this summer’s on the shorter end

so November will come faster where he’ll proceed like a bull, or a Jordan

that will accomplish more than the ordin(ary)

the former him. He’s now eager to perform through the storm again,

to prove to not only himself or in front of a crowd on a 10-foot-rim,

but also to those who quietly ignored him.

The Black Student-Athlete Summit was so dope! Such a reassuring event on how Black is so Beautiful🖤- WE THEM 1s FOR REAL! Whether it was having those tough conversations regarding our community or randomly hiking up a mountain trail, I’m so grateful to have met so many genuine black folk. Thanks to all who helped make this happen. The lessons learned and connections made are truly priceless. I’m Blessed to have been able to represent @pennfootball on the west coast! #bsa #blackivy

Words cannot fully express how I’ve been feeling these past couple of days. If you would’ve told me that I would be standing on the podium and medaling at the Ivy League Championships for Long Jump, I honestly wouldn’t have believed you. After not long jumping for almost 6 months, being able to come back and show up the way I did this weekend was nothing but the grace and strength of God.

Many people don’t know how trying this season has been for me and the silent battles I’ve had to fight mentally, physically, and spiritually, but through it all I never gave up, even during the moments when I REALLY wanted to. This journey has taught me so much about myself, faith, perseverance, and trusting the process.

I want to thank my coaches for not giving up on me and showing up for me when I needed them. Thank you to our amazing trainers for helping me strengthen my knee and for dealing with me and my shenanigans in the training room every single day🤣. Thank you to my friends and teammates for always encouraging and supporting me through every high and low.

And most importantly, thank you to my amazing parents for you endless love, prayers, sacrifices, and support throughout this entire journey. And for constantly reminding me that I’m capable of anything I put my mind to as well as keeping God in the center of it all. I truly could not have done this without you both.❤️🥹

I can’t wait to see how much more success is ahead for our team! This is the Quaker Way! Go Quakers❤️💙
