“What’s a home without a family”
•
•
These people. This place. No words could ever fully describe the impact this organization has had on my life. Camp Gellatly found me at a time when I needed it most, and my life is forever changed because of it. God knew exactly what I needed, and blessed me with an abundance more than I ever could have asked for. After a difficult freshman year I can say that I found my light at the end of the tunnel. I have never felt so loved, welcomed, or deeply known by a group of people I met not long ago. It has all been so surreal. It has taught me to trust God’s plan, even when I cannot see where He is leading me. And look where it has brought me!

To my best friends: you are my people, my family, and my home. Every one of you has left a unique mark on my heart, and I genuinely cannot imagine my life without you. I love you all more than you know.

To Pemma: thank you for being the best chairs I could have ever asked for my first year. You saw something in me before you even knew me and took a chance on me that completely changed the course of my life. Thank you for choosing me for your last year, believing in me, and challenging me to grow. I am forever grateful for you both.

To my own DG dad: you were my first friend here. From the moment we met, you never gave up on me. Through every high and every low, you were there. You believed in me and encouraged me to take a chance on an experience that has now become one of the best parts of my life. So much of what I have here today exists because of you. I am forever grateful for you.

And finally, thank you Camp Gellatly for giving me the chance to impact our freshmen, a family who feels like home, and memories I will carry forever. No matter what, a piece of my heart will always be here. Camp Gellatly, you are my everything 💛
