🕊️ Will we remain confined to the material world like a caged bird, or will we soar towards liberation and unite with the divine? Inspired by an ancient Sufi myth, this visually stunning dance-theatre work by @aakashodedra.global brings together the classical dance form of kathak, music and storytelling in a poignant tale of sacrifice and beauty.

Happening 20 Nov at the Singtel Waterfront Theatre at Esplanade as part of Kalaa Utsavam. Get your tickets at esplanade.com/kalaautsavam or via the link in bio.

✨ Purpose, Passion & the Classical Arts ✨

What can ancient art forms teach the modern arts?

We’re delighted that Sonia Sabri MBE, multi-award-winning Kathak dance artist and choreographer, will be joining this inspiring panel as a guest speaker.

Bringing together three women working across classical performance, healthcare and choreography, this conversation explores discipline, identity, purpose and what it takes to keep traditional art forms alive in a world of constant change.

From preserving centuries-old practices to reimagining them for contemporary audiences, what can the classical arts teach us today?
