Sometimes regulating your nervous system looks like sitting on the sidelines with a coffee and watching your kid have the absolute best day. 🤍🐴

Today was a games day — ponies, friends, laughter, a little friendly competition, and absolutely no seriousness required.

And after a week where my brain has been carrying way too much and my nervous system has felt completely overloaded, watching them just PLAY felt like exactly what I needed.

No fixing. No solving. No thinking ten steps ahead.

Just being here.

Watching my daughter and her friends laugh, ride, cheer each other on and create those little core memories they don’t even realize are core memories yet.

There is so much heavy in life.

But there is also this.

And today, I’m choosing to really fucking notice this. 🤍

Friends who ride together, stay together. 🤍🐴

In the middle of a week that has felt like absolute chaos — where my nervous system has genuinely felt like it’s on fire — this is the kind of moment that brings me back.

Sitting quietly with my coffee, watching my daughter and her friends ride together. Laughing. Learning. Supporting each other. Just completely happy in their little world.

And realizing that while I’m sitting here trying to regulate my nervous system, they’re busy creating the kind of core memories they’ll hopefully carry forever.

Sometimes snapping back into the positive isn’t about fixing everything that’s going wrong.

Sometimes it’s just noticing what’s going right.

And right now, I’m really fucking grateful for this. 🤍

A little cowgirl making her first horsey memories. 🤠💕. . Today, she met a horse, climbed into the saddle, and rode with the biggest smile. Watching her try something new was the best part of our day. Here’s to many more little adventures, Rahney! 🐴🤎. #littlehorserider
