I am extremely proud to share that Cosmic Terrains (2024) from my totem series has officially entered the permanent collection of @walkerartcenter.

Many thanks especially to @aangelolanzaa @jackeis and @matthewbrowngallery for showing this work at Frieze LA this year and for continuing to trust and support my (very chaotic and never easy) practice.

The 12th SITE Santa Fe International “Once Within a Time” is now open through January 12, 2026. My deepest gratitude to the extraordinary @ceciliaalemani for believing in my work. It’s a great honor and I’m forever grateful for the opportunity. It’s my tallest sculpture to date! I love seeing it in such a thought provoking, compelling and exciting exhibition and in great company with so many artists whose work I greatly admire. My deep thanks to @_m_caron_ Louis Grachos @brandeecaoba The team at SITE has been incredible to work with. Special thank you to Max @healthyfriend and the entire museum staff. Thank you to @mncatalano for the beautiful essay on my work in the forthcoming catalog.

Special thank you to @matthewhbrown for your support and belief in my work.

My solo exhibition ‘Unrequited Remnants’ @tankshanghai
opens November 6, 2024 through February 28, 2025

Portrait by Kunning Huang @kunninng

“Unrequited Remnants delves into the conventions and restrictions that define our contemporary society. The sculptural assemblages featured in the exhibition function as “matter out of place,” a concept Mary Douglas investigates in reference to dirt in her seminal work Purity and Danger: An Analysis of Concepts of Pollution and Taboo.“

My solo exhibition, Unrequited Remnants, opens at Tank Shanghai on November 6, 2024 and runs through February 28, 2025 @tankshanghai

Film by @kunninng

“Suspended in space, the piece rotates clockwise in a slow, repetitive motion. Inspired by the natural sway caused by fans in the artist's studio, the concept evolved into a deliberate exploration of movement and its impact on perception.
By incorporating motion, the sculpture delves into the construct of time, transforming how viewers interact with it. The gentle rotation invites audiences to experience the work dynamically, emphasizing the relationship between movement, time, and space.”
