POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

That’s a WRAP for my freshman dance season. This year definitely had a kick to it or a hitch kick in my case. @kaitlynn_m_dyke and I say that my season was cut short with a sparkle of resilience. Although I am not in full recovery yet, I had an upturn recovery process. Just shy of 4 months out of surgery I was already back on the sidelines for our home basketball games. I also had the honor to compete in our hip hop routine at the Region VI competition and Nationals with my team. I am truly grateful for my coach, teammates, trainers, physical therapists, and everyone else who helped me on my recovery journey. Most of all a huge thanks to my mom for always being my number 1 supporter, because I definitely wouldn’t have been able to get through this trial and tribulation without her. My dance story isn’t over yet. Just wait for next season because it’s time for my comeback!💙👑💛

when someone asks, what does it mean to be a Barton Cougar.. i’d say

it is the best years of your life. growing alongside my beautiful strong friends. pouring our blood sweat and tears into every season. making memories and friendships that will last forever. feeling sore and getting hurt. doing our makeup and hair getting all ready for a performance. car rides laughing. apparently finding cockroaches in every hotel. being our young dumb selves. feeling the goosebumps bumps before hitting that stage. and stepping off knowing we accomplished something. it’s hard to see people leave but they left their heart out on the floor. this year was the best, and so impactful for all. being on this team is a privilege, thank you to all for supporting me and making this happen! to another good year and another coming soon..
