𝗔𝗮𝗿𝗵𝘂𝘀: 𝗦𝘂𝗯𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘀 – 𝗲𝗶𝗻 𝗟𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵 𝗺𝗶𝘁 𝗘𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗻 𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗞𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻

Im Straßenverkehr also besser Obacht geben!

Ins Restaurant brachte uns erfreulicherweise ein Fahrstuhl „Made in Germany“ – allerdings in ausgesprochen gemächlichem Tempo.

Suspended Forms & Spaces II continues the investigation into the Danish letter and its 400-year history, which the artist Victor Chakravarty began with Suspended Forms & Spaces I, exhibited at Odense Central Library.

The exhibition centers on the letter as a relational medium that cultivated a particular way of being attentive and relational together, an aspect of communication that is often subordinated in digitally supported systems. The structure and potential of the postal service are also examined. As a publicly owned relational infrastructure, it was unique, and before it was abolished, it was the last option Danes had for opting out of the big tech companies, whose infrastructures (data clouds and cloud storage, respectively) Denmark is now irrevocably dependent on.

The exhibition examines the conditions of the shift in our relationship to capital and production that has been underway for the past 20 years, and whose current configuration is technofeudal. Rather than dismantling the postal service entirely and destroying 400 years of infrastructure, citizens could have been asked what they wanted to do with this structure, which they shared and paid for. In this way, the dismantling of the Danish postal service is part of a larger global rollback of the commons.

The exhibition consists of three sections.
The work Dead Letter Office is a sculptural piece that recreates elements of a postal service department that handled undeliverable letters and letters without a sender or with an incomplete address. A postal employee could, with special permission, open the letter to find indications of who the recipient might be.

Eight photographic works are presented site-specifically and respond to the surroundings at DOKK1. The works examine the visible traces on, and the handling of, letters from the artist's own archive, which consists of more than 1,000 letters Chakravarty sent between 2007 and 2025.
A sound piece is presented in which two GPTs (Generative Pretrained Transformers)
correspond with each other; both GPTs have been trained on Chakravarty's archive.

The exhibition is supported by the Jutland Art Foundation, Aarhus Kommune & Poul Johansen Fonden

Live Elektroniks in November! 🤍

📅 November 11
🕢 19:30
📍 @turkisaarhus
🎟️ Free

Crinkle, Rockband and Ruhepol are joining each other and inviting you for an evening focusing on songwriting. Together they will interpret and perform songs from each other’s catalogue, old and new, electric and acoustic. The music will be presented from the floor in the joyful environment of turkis, so you can come close and have a good time with us.

Artists:

Crinkle (@saraagergaard): Crinkle is my first attempt at writing and performing music that I share with others. The music revolves around improvisation, loops, space, and the attempt to break free from specific ideas about how things should and must be done. This concert will be the first one I play as Crinkle, and I’m nervous and excited—but very happy to be doing it with two friends.

Rockband (@andy.m3yer): Rockband is the name of a bedroom-pop project, released on cassettape, made by friends for friends.

Ruhepol (Frede): Songs made about bugs, the environment and your best friend. Driven by fuzzy guitarstrings and the voice of a blue bird.

Something new is coming to Aarhus!

Games have become one of the world's most influential cultural mediums. They inspire, challenge, connect people and tell stories in ways no other medium can.

So why shouldn't they have a festival of their own?

This November, Flux Festival opens its doors for the very first time in Filmbyen Aarhus.
Over two days, developers, artists, musicians, researchers, creators and players will come together to celebrate games - not just as entertainment, but as art, culture and community.
Expect inspiring talks, live experiences, interactive exhibitions, performances, conversations and much more.

This is just the beginning.
🎟️ Tickets are now available:
https://fluxfestival.dk
