Video from the gauntlet at @tacticalfirearmsacademy which was kind enough to host a private event for a friend’s birthday. Wrist injury slowed me down and took 5th overall but still had a great time and glad I could complete the day.

One of the problems with changing match formats is always going to be gear and rules differences. Didn’t change from non lockback mags and got in my own head about loaded mags on the ground penalties. It ended up costing me a few seconds on the stage but It’s all about the journey.

A quick trip to @foundersshootingclub Miami and set up a course to practice unloaded table starts. Still can’t put down the @phoenixtrinityfirearms H2 especially now that I put the gas pedal on it. #uspsa #competition #phoenixtrinity #idpa #pcsl #2k11 #2011 #range competitionshooting #florida #apexshootingcenter #foundersshootingclub #foundersmiami #pistol #pistolcompetition #training #practice #miami #instructor

The nighthawk TRS commander has entered the chat!

The nighthawk Sandhawk was my favorite airsoft pistol 15+ years ago and what I carried at some of my favorite big games. I always said one day I’ll own one for real especially if I moved out of NY. Between the two year waitlist, preferred customer lists from stores and crazy secondary prices I figured that would be on the “one day” list for a while. Thankfully I saw that a local shop just got one in and I couldn’t pass it up. So far it’s everything I have been hoping for and more and what I’ll be using in uspsa open division. #nighthawk #nighthawksandhawk #nighthawkcustom #2011 #2k11 #dreamgun #uspsa #idpa #shootingsports #custom #pcsl #competition #trijicon #streamlight

Managed to have a nice match in spite of the oppressive heat 🔥. I can’t say it was my best match, although there were some bright spots.

There’s always something to learn and this sport naturally keeps your ego in check.

We have about one more month of the heat down here in South Florida, then we rival San Diego for the best weather in the country. I plan on taking full advantage of it until next June when the oven 🔥comes back on.

We shoot all through the summer here. It’s worth it. Taking multiple months off just isn’t in the cards.

Special thanks to Joseph @ghost_holster.usa for my new Hydra P+ competition rig. I went in there to pick up an inner belt and left with an entire set up. I went back to the orange mag pouches. It’s football season and I have to support my University of Tennessee Vols! 🧡

Mini stage setup from the other day. Still have a long way to go but movement and non planted shooting positions are getting better. Next match is a club match at founders which will be a good gauge of my growth and what’s still sticking under pressure. #competition #uspsa #2011 #idpa #pcsl #2k11 #kimber #phoenixtrinity #staccato #darkforgefirearms #atlasgunworks #ghostholster #training #practice #apexshootingcenter #foundersshootingclub #teamwork #southflorida #range #growth

Another night grinding away at it. Getting better with shooting on the move and not getting jammed up in obstacles.

Got hit with the 2011 curse. On the reload I could feel a round got stripped and was in the grip messing up the run. Final count was a perfect 20 alpha run but the time killed me. #competition #uspsa #classifier #idpa #pcsl #ipsc #2011 #2k11 #kimber #kimber2k11 #darkforgefirearms #shootingsports #florida #southflorida #staccato #glock #wraith #beretta #opendivision
