There’s no such thing as a “perfect” time.

I nearly didn’t come on this trip. Work doesn’t stop just because you book a flight. And as a founder there’s always this lie you tell yourself: I’ll go when things calm down. Things never calm down!

Then I got here.

My grandfather, the man who raised me, nearly falling asleep at dinner. He’s 96. My nephew is 6 months old, lives in Spain, and I blinked... and he’s a completely different tiny human than the one I met last time. That’s how fast it moves.

I still worked while I was here. Replied to the team. Handled a few fires. But my family didn’t blink, because when I’m with them, I’m actually with them. Not half here checking Slack under the table.

I used to think being present meant switching off completely. It doesn’t. It means being honest about which hours are yours to give, and giving them fully instead of splitting yourself thin across everything and calling it balance.

Time doesn’t wait for your business to hit a quiet patch...

Stop waiting for one!

This trip gave us so many memories to keep. 🤍

Max turned 6 months, Daddy turned 37, our little guy had his first beach and swim, and he finally met his great-grandpa for the first time. 🥹

Our first family holiday after having a baby, definitely more chaotic than relaxing 😂 but so much more meaningful.

Just feeling extra grateful for family, for these little milestones, and for getting to watch Max grow up surrounded by so much love. 🥰

i hope that when our son grows up, he knows that there were no sacrifices made for him. only decisions.

the late nights, the changes in plans, the opportunities we passed on, the things we chose not to do.. none of it was something we lost because of him. they were choices we made because we wanted to.

i hope he never feels like he owes us for the love, time or energy we’ve given him. we brought him into this world and everything that comes with being his parents is part of that choice.

more than anything, i hope he feels free to build a life that makes him happy. not a life that repays us, not a life shaped by guilt or obligation, but one that feels true to who he is.

if one day he’s happy and knows how deeply he is loved, that’ll be more than enough ❤️

Tokyo, Part I: Can’t stop posting about Japan. Almost a month later and still unpacking memories. This time Tokyo, the world’s biggest city. 🌆🇯🇵🌸 Sakura and us.

Kibune is pure magic tucked in the mountains of Kyoto… so peaceful and so unique it deserves a whole post of its own. From riverside dining to hidden shrines and water fortunes, it was a good escape from the usual touristy spots of Kyoto. 🥹🥹

Ahhh I’ve been dragging on posting about Kyoto.. every time I open my camera roll, it hits me how magical it all was. Thousands of beautiful moments making the post-holiday blues sting a little more. 🇯🇵

We stayed in Nara for 3 days, just enough time for a side trip to Mt. Yoshino. Nara’s deer totally stole our hearts. And although we came too early for the sakura bloom at Mt. Yoshino, the cultural immersion made it unforgettable. I would dare to say this was my favourite part of this trip. It was peaceful, spiritual and full of quiet beauty. 💖
