“Entrees before the appetizers…”- acrylic, canvas, tipping, bussing, hosting, waiting, bar backing, prepping, pooling, drama, glory, shift drink, quitting, returning, fast casual, white table cloth, paper plates, lost crumber, glassware, POS system, romance, meditating in the walk in, sworn rivalries, eternal family….LOVE and magic—some of the greatest moments happen at and around these magical tables. Love Tyrone

Bomba Rice: the traditional rice of Spain has short, round grains. It's terrific in paella because it's highly absorbent; you rarely see its natural white color because chefs almost always cook it with lots of herbs that turn it yellow. @eelbarnyc cooks their bomba rice in a rich, herbaceous broth and serves it juicy. Topped with marinated montauk red shrimp, it's a lively dish, hinting of Spain and the sea... yum!

We like Eel Bar. We often show up thinking we'll have snacks in the early evening, but end up ordering more. The menu evolves, with variations on dishes popping up with the seasons. Here's the rest of our meal this time, as summer turns to fall:
- Fluke with pil pil and roasted tomatoes
- Grilled pork loin with heirloom peppers and tonnato
- Beefsteak tomatoes with sweet peppers and mahon
- Squash escabeche
- Watercress with garrotxa cheese

We enjoyed every dish - and the combo is fun. We like the vibe: knowing service, good playlists, drinks with bitters... We're fans.

It’s hard to look back at summer and not get nostalgic. High water and high times. The great moments we’ve shared with friends on water, in bars, and by a fire will soon be replaced with solitary nights at the vise.

We’re trying to keep the party going by hosting more regular tying nights and events, so keep your eyes peeled for announcements. Also we’re constantly adding new products and are particularly excited about some new brands we’ll be carrying very soon. Thanks for all the support, we really appreciate it!
