I've been keeping the sweetest secret. 🩷

Our 18th grandchild was born last week!

Little Cecilia Joan was welcomed by my youngest son and his wife, and is being showered with love by her aunts, uncles, and all those wonderful cousins.

Praise God for the gift of life. We are so extraordinarily blessed. 😊

I'll admit, I initially hesitated to apply to the @penrodarts show in Indy. It's a one day event, and, that's usually just too much for @aaronchefkiewicz and me with our display of large artwork. But after hearing a few recommendations from other artists, and learning about the legendary "Penrod boys" and how helpful they are, I figured, "why not?"

And, boy, am I glad we went!

We had a fantastic weekend! We participated in the Friday night event @eveningwithpenrod where we enjoyed the garden party atmosphere and were able to meet some of the fair organizers. Saturday was a bit rainy, but the shoppers came out to support artists. (Shout out especially to amazing fellow artist @kristiartist1 who gave me the honor of adding one of my pieces to her collection!)

We will definitely be back if we're invited next year!

Now, it's back to the easel. Grateful for a weekend off before we head to DC for our next show. 😊

Just a few of my favorite moments from our trip to Colorado. 😊

The mountains and the people were beautiful! We especially enjoyed spending time with our new artist friends Trina and Jerry @artbytrinaross2. Why didn't I take more photos?!?

We're headed to Lincoln, Nebraska now to drop off some paintings, then to Kansas City to allow a client to view some pieces in her home. What a great adventure!

Tomorrow we'll be in St. Louis, then passing through Indianapolis and Toledo before we're home sweet home in Metro Detroit. If you'd like a visit from the art mobile, let me know! 🎨🚘

On the road home from another amazing show, this time in Philly at @rittenhousesquareart, and I want to give a shout out to the real MVPs who do so much for us artists: THE ART GUYS!

These men do it all: driving us across the country, schlepping our wares, setting up displays - not to mention supporting us emotionally on those tough days.

We appreciate you! @aaronchefkiewicz

@andi.helfant.frye @fineartbylizdoody @wendyfranklinart @betsy.not.besty (sorry we didn't get to meet, Betsy - ❤️ from a fellow Michigander!)

The last week or so has been... different.

It's been great! We had visits from two of our sons, and our daughter-in-law and her sister. We had two shows and sold some art to some lovely people. I'm working on a large commission for a repeat client. 😊

It's been not so great! We had rain, wind and lightning at one show, then a cancelled day at another show for storms that never materialized. We've been doing a lot of driving, and I'm getting homesick. 😞

It's been goofy. We experienced a time change when traveling from Florida to Alabama, then another one due to daylight saving time. I'm one of those people who needs lots of time to adjust to that. As a result, I don't know what day it is or what time it is and I'm a little discombobulated.
We played Jurassic indoor glow golf. And I accidentally made an AI stuffy of myself. 🤪

I painted and rested and I think I'm going to make it. 😁 Still wouldn't trade this life for anything.

Just a couple photos that give you a good idea what my week at home was like. 🍕👦👧 ❤️

Lots of good times with family and friends, plenty of pizza, and lots of shoes by the door, which of course equals a houseful of happiness.

We are back in Florida, driving to the West Coast, where we will be showing in Sanibel this weekend. If you are lucky enough to be here in sunny Florida with me, I hope you will stop by!

Yesterday was my birthday!!!🥳🎂

It was a great day. I spent time with some of my favorite church ladies, kids, grandkids, and of course my Big Man.

I'm so grateful for the life I've been given. I'm starting to think the sixties are the best decade so far. 😊

Aaron is the best friend, husband and business partner a girl could ask for. I'm so grateful for the gift of his life!

Still soaking in the gratitude vibe!

So much to be thankful for on this #smallbusiness Saturday! I never imagined myself running a full-time art business, but here I am, and wow, it's an adventure!

From art festivals to workshops, from creating commissions to traveling the country, the very best part is the PEOPLE. I've met so many wonderful souls who truly make it all worthwhile. And I'm extraordinarily blessed to have a husband/business partner who is absolutely irreplaceable - not too mention a supportive family.

When you support small businesses like ours, you make a profound difference in our lives. You put groceries on our table, and help us to pay for health care. You quite literally keep us alive. THANK YOU!

Thank you for considering my artwork this season!

Have I ever told you about my grandchildren??!? 🥰🥰🥰

Here we are with just a *few* of them, we have 10 more that go to other schools and they are all equally amazing!

You can bet that we were bragging about them every chance we got today at grandparents day at our parish school. @divinechildfalcons

If you were wondering what inspires me to paint joyful, bold, vivid, energetic art, you're looking at it! ❤️
