BE GLAD YOU HAD THE MOMENT

We spend a lot of our lives waiting for enough.

Enough time.
Enough money.
Enough vacation days.
Enough reasons to make something “worth it.”

Salma Hayek taught me something without ever knowing she was teaching it.

Sometimes an hour is enough.

Sometimes an afternoon is enough.

Sometimes the thing that makes absolutely no sense on paper becomes the thing you remember for the rest of your life.

My new essay is about Salma Hayek, the Chilean Andes, a spontaneous detour — and a life lesson I still believe in:

Be glad you had the moment.

Read it today on Substack. Link in bio.

What’s a moment you’re glad you said yes to?

Fall Modernism in Palm Springs is fun! Thank you all who stopped by to say hi, enjoy some bubbly and experience in person some of the new works introduced yesterday to the valley. It’s an honor to be able to keep my brother’s art alive. Thank you so much for the support and amazing work behind the scenes. @jamessf @jorgeinsua @jodyblainemoon #keepinghisartalive #palmspringsartshow #palmspringsart #joshuatree #wovenphoto

Power is not only found in what we know, but also in how we choose to express who we are.

The way we dress, the way we communicate, the way we carry ourselves, these are all subtle extensions of our identity.

Intelligence and elegance are not mutually exclusive. In fact, when cultivated with intention, they complement each other beautifully.

Because how we present ourselves is not about seeking approval. It is about expressing the woman we have become.

Rosie O’Donnell. Five minutes of stand-up. A conversation in a car in Los Angeles. And a lesson I wouldn’t fully understand until years later.

I stand with the female athletes speaking out today. Women’s sports are not a costume. Female athletes are not scenery. They have fought, sweated and bled to be respected for what their bodies can do, not marketed for what their bodies can sell. Sexuality belongs to women, but male approval is not female liberation, and exploitation does not become empowerment simply because someone learned to call it a choice. I know what that machinery looks like because I survived it. That is why I fight for girls. That is why I stand with women. They turned my childhood into content. I am turning my adulthood into purpose. Women and girls are not objects.

behind the scenes with photographer @aaronjayyoung. full shoot coming soon.
