Aaron Jenkins is easily one of my favorite Atlanta stand-up comedians. I used to think I could say whatever I wanted within the confines of comedy. Aaron Jenkins will have you clutching your pearls, holding your stomach, shaking your head, and gasping for air. He is just that naturally funny on stage and in real life. To make matters comedically wilder, half the time this man is telling the God’s honest truth. It gets no better than that. What I enjoy most about Aaron’s comedy is his relatability, his consistency with the craft, and his ability to command any room, stage, or situation in front of him. There is an authenticity to his comedy that cannot be manufactured. His humor feels lived in, his perspective feels honest, and his delivery makes you believe every ridiculous detail because it actually happened. Beyond the comedy, Mr. Jenkins carries one of the most humble spirits I have encountered in this business. He knows who he is, and he knows where he comes from. Because of that, there is no need for him to imitate anyone else. He will congratulate you when he means it, support you when it is genuine, and give you the truth when you are ready to hear it. That says everything about the man behind the microphone. From an industry perspective, Aaron’s work ethic, wit, timing, and personality translate extremely well into entertainment, film and television. Put the right material around him, give him a character he can truly sink his teeth into, and there is another layer of Aaron Jenkins that audiences have not even seen yet. I am curious to see where this journey lands him, but I believe Aaron Jenkins is going to leave a mark on this industry that lasts far beyond the stage. If there is anything within my power to help see that through, I am ready and willing. Better days are ahead. You deserve every opportunity that comes with them. Keep working. Keep laughing. Keep telling the truth. The industry will catch up. BUCKY BASSETTE Filmmaker Bucky Bassette Enterprises
