We spent the whole weekend at Nottinghill Carnival celebrating 60 years of this incredible cultural extravaganza and Aaron, my partners, culture. It was a rich and heady mix of music, so much amazing music!, steel pans, dancing, food, colour, so much colour, family, fashion, diversity, costume, joy and of course the thread of resistance. It is always so special. This year particularly. I loved every minute of it.

He came along 6 years ago today and wrote a song for me. I wore this dress for our second date. Ended up in a bath tub with a twig and a boot shaped mug full of Taittinger! How lucky am I? Celebrating today with Taittinger and the yellow dress. No twig this time!

A quick* hot 🔥 garden tidy.
*6 hours condensed to 30 seconds!

It’s amazing to see how much has grown in the last two weeks. Sun and rain are magic! ☀️ 🌧️ 🌱

And so is our Grillo walk behind mower.

Knock knock…. 💀
Day of the dead in Dalston! I love the premise of the Day of the Dead embracing the idea that death is a natural part of the human cycle, and the dead remain part of the community, so mourning is replaced with joyful remembrance. And I love the combination of dark themes with joyful colours. Mine is more on the dark side but mainly because I wanted to wear this insanely beautiful @thevampireswife dress! It’s from their last sample sale. The velvet is so delicious. I think I’ll wear this forever and pass it on to Pops.
I made the headpiece and heart from offcuts and bits from my ‘random things’ box.
The top is a Zara from a charity shop.
Shoes are very old @viviennewestwood
Necklace from @secondlifemarkets_uk

I forced my tired daughter to do my make-up. She wasn’t pleased with it. I love it. 💀🌺

Also I need to mention my ever patient videographer and love @aaronknight

Remembering and celebrating all my specials who are no longer here but still part of my community.

London summer ☀️🇬🇧

With all that Sydney-style sunshine, what a cracker it was. From celebrating my brilliant co-author Dr @keioyoshida and his brilliant new book, to many a garden party with @kathy.lette at the alternative Aus embassy (her house) and lovely visiting Aussies, to Manuel and @mrsukisandhu’s big gay wedding party (feat, @ollyalexanderr), to seeing @omarbinmusa’s beautiful new show, to filming for an exciting project I can’t wait to share - and everything in between - so much fun and so many good people!

Another ruffled beauty from Mr Gammon’s coffers. And another Vivienne Westwood from mine. Looking for an opportunity to wear this ensemble. Like a punk wedding. Or maybe down the post office later.

Arsenal ♥️

Great to see @arsenalwfc selling out the stadium! And brilliant having so many of our @matildas on my local team - @stephcatley @caitlinfoord @kyracooneyx - and seeing them finally getting the support they deserve

Super fun having @sean_cooney @nswinstituteofsport @healthfix_ over visiting - and to take him along to see Arsenal win our local derby, in front of a record crowd, with our North London crew
