I AM TRYING TO PUT MY THOUGHTS TOGETHER!!! Give me a couple days to process and then please ask me about it. For now, I will say this: my relationship with Church has evolved throughout my life. Experiences from my childhood would be reason enough to leave it behind and never look back. Experiences from my adulthood would be more than enough to excuse an exit. People would ā€œunderstandā€. But BOY am I glad that I not only put my foot down, but planted both my feet.

I am but a blip on the screen of a long line of existence and sometimes you just need to feel small. Sometimes you just need to feel like you are a part of something so so so much bigger than yourself. A small ACL in the leg, a tiny nerve in the ear - all things that give to the body, and make it move and experience and emote. It feels good to feel small. I pray to God that whatever I do, whatever I am a small part of is overwhelmingly bigger than anything I could come up with. Because I am willing and He is the Author and Finisher.

I honestly don’t even know where to begin. Youth Camp 2026. My last youth camp. And somehow, it was everything I could have hoped for and so much more.

Over the past few years, God has used youth camp to change me, shape me, challenge me, and draw me closer to Him in ways I never could have imagined. I’ve watched Him move in my own life, but I’ve also had the incredible privilege of watching Him move in the lives of so many of my friends. And this year was no different. If anything, it felt like God was doing something even deeper. I saw God move in miraculous ways. I saw hearts softened, chains broken, people encounter the presence of Jesus, and lives changed forever. I watched students worship with everything they had, pray boldly, choose Jesus, and step into the freedom and identity He has for them. One of the greatest joys of my life is championing my friends. I love watching the people I love step into who God has called them to be. I love celebrating their victories, encouraging them when things get hard, cheering them on when they take big steps of faith, and reminding them of who they are when they forget. Getting to do that at youth camp getting to worship alongside my friends, serve alongside them, pray with them, laugh with them, and watch them encounter Jesus is something I will never take for granted.

To my youth pastors and leaders, thank you doesn’t even begin to cover it. Thank you for pouring into me, believing in me, giving me opportunities to serve, trusting me, correcting me, encouraging me, and showing me what it looks like to follow Jesus faithfully. Thank you for the countless hours, prayers, sacrifices, conversations, and behind-the-scenes moments that most people will never see. You have played such a massive role in shaping who I am, and I am forever grateful.

It’s crazy to think that this was my last youth camp as a student. A part of me wishes I could go back and do it all over again. But I also know that God is just getting started.

Youth camp may be over, but what God started in us doesn’t have to stay at camp.

The fire doesn’t have to fade.
Here’s to carrying the fire home.

HERE IT IS!! Year 3 at camp with @youth_co!!! First of all, proud of each of the dudes from Cabin 321. Staying up till’ 3AM every night is the best mistake I make every year with you guys! Next, if the point of camp is to take time out of our regularly scheduled programming to get away with Jesus….well, that happened. Every service, devotional, message, prayer, and cabin time were pointed and didn’t waste words. Finally. To say THANK YOU! To the Youth staff and youth leaders. You operated like camp started a month ago and have been clearing the way to make this week unforgettable ever since. I love working with students. I love this generation. Youth Co. we are just getting started, you have my heart!

ā€œThen I heard the Lord asking, ā€˜Whom should I send as a messenger to this people? Who will go for us?’ I said, ā€˜Here I am. Send me.ā€™ā€

I’m forever marked. I will never be the same. This week taught me to never limit God’s potential for what he can do in your life. God changed my entire life in the span of 4 days. He brought me from death to life, from numbness to radical joy and passion, and he healed my heart. This is the start of something new. This generation is starting to understand what it looks like to live a life FULLY devoted to Christ. What it looks like to drop everything and pursue him, without looking back. I’m humbled that God would choose me, and not only that, but he would look past my flaws and call me his beloved son. I am forever grateful for what took place this week, and grateful for the people that I got to experience it with. I am an ambassador for Christ, and he is my portion. I choose Jesus.

ā€œThen he said to his disciples, ā€˜The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.ā€™ā€
