I’m forever grateful to God for bringing me this far with my business. And to you all who keep booking, supporting, and showing love, thank you so much. I truly couldn’t have come this far without you.

This stage of my journey has shown me that the God I serve is faithful. His favour and grace have carried me through so much. There have been days where it’s felt hard and overwhelming, and moments where I felt like giving upbut with God, I’ve kept going.

As I sit and truly consider the rest of this verse, I find myself overwhelmed by the reality of it.

I’m left dumbfounded at times. A speechless smile. No matter what, I am guarded. No matter what, I am protected. I have boldness to walk as if I am bulletproof. A persistent prayer point of mine is for the Lord to create a surrounding bubble around my vessel that is only permeable to the strings of the Lord. Affliction may hurt me, but there’s no wound. No skin is broken. Chaos can’t override my day, His authorship over the book concerning my life allows me to walk through any valley with maybe a tear or two but a forever restful spirit and loud laugh.

“My glory”. “My” a possessive determiner. “Glory” in this context comes from the Hebrew word Kavod, meaning honour, weight, and splendour. Men seek and find glory in the practices and possessions of the world. But like David, my glory is found in the Lord. I will forever boast of His goodness. His love abounds and as a result, so does my smile. My joy, my hope, and my being is in the Lord. A nature of permanent happiness and peace, that has the inability to depart. It’s splendour. His splendour.

“The One who lifts up my head” is written in the present tense, reminding me that whenever I read this verse, I should understand it as something God is doing now, not just something He did in the past. God is the One who continuously lifts up my head. My head is always above my shoulders in jubilation. My help comes from the Lord. In times that warrant my head to be lowered, He tilts my head upward so my crown as a princess never falls. So I know that His care for His daughter is ever present. So I know that the Lord is my shield, my glory and my lifter.

Thank You Lord for another chapter. Thank You Lord for all. Not just for what You do but even more so for who You are. Your nature, Your faithfulness. I shake my head as my inability to describe Your beauty only grows. Grateful is an understatement. Thank You!

As I look unto 22, this is my declaration.

Psalms 3:3

“But You, O Lord, are a shield for me, My glory and the One who lifts up my head.” - Psalms‬ ‭3‬:‭3‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

I reflect in awe. The magnitude of His wonder cannot be measured. I find myself continuously stuck in amazement of the God I know and serve. It’s truly a beautiful way of life.

“But”. A conjunction to oppose a previous idea. That in the midst of trial, there’s an unseen perspective. There’s more to it than what meets the eye. Among the hardships of healing, procrastination, stagnation, and suffering, there’s a flip side. The “But” serves as a prequel to the peace, progression, joy, and fulfilment to come. It’s a counter to the former. A pivot.

I tend to be quite protective. I am a big believer of prevention is better than cure, but in the same breath I can over do it. And in doing so, I take control. I overprotect myself. I do what I have to do and what I think is best for me. But that’s not my job. It never was. I belong to my Father. His Spirit possesses me. So if I am my Fathers child, if He is my shepherd, if He is my shield, then surely in that same nature He is the One who does the protecting. Through every battle and triumph, letting God be sovereign was the hardest of all to action. That dimension of surrender, where your life is not your own and you leave the directions of it to be navigated by the One you have to seek to behold. You leave your lifestyle and the defence mechanisms of the past in the former and follow a Lord with provision.

Yet the verse does not stop speaking here. There is more. I will share the rest soon.

2 years of God’s favour and faithfulness.

I give him ALL the glory!💜

I typically would type in a long caption for a day like this but all I can say is God. Just give it to God. Business owners, give it to God and just watch everything speak for itself.

I’m so thankful to Him and so thankful to all of you guys🥹… here’s to 2 years of ‘Serving Love through Food’💜
