⭐️ LINEUP ANNOUNCEMENT ⭐️
There’s less than 2 weeks to go until our 11th edition launch party at the Star and Dove, and we’re so excited!

We’ve got a stellar lineup, with alt-rockers Nobody’s Dad headlining, followed by our very special cover star Ziggy2000. And, as if that wasn’t enough, Custard and Isabella Rosser will also be there to grace your ears 🎸

The whole night will be beautifully furnished with work from local artists, including Bristol tattooist Billy Martin. To round everything off, we’re bringing in Sumi — a DnB / jungle artist who is guaranteed to bring the heat.

All that’s missing is YOU 🫵🏻 so get your tickets via the link in our bio!

𝐌𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐁𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐝 (@moodboredband)
Mood Bored is an indie-rock trio based in The Netherlands. With their punchy bass lines, guitar driven melodies and infectious hooks, they construct a sonic landscape that evokes the rush of glittering dance floors, while dreamy vocals and introspective lyrics recall the existentialism of those late-night conversations in the party bathroom.

Shifting maniacally between sentiments of near-nihilistic cynicism to earnest hopefulness, Mood Bored articulates what it feels like to be a young adult in a digital era of perpetual chaos.

Who said an existential crisis can’t be fun?

𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐡𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐲 (@spiderhoney.band)
Driven purely by the urge to create, spiderhoney are a band born out of burnout. But don’t let their laidback tunes fool you — dig a little deeper and you’ll hear the grit beneath the surface. Inspired by artists like Courtney Barnett and Fontaine’s D.C, the alt-rock group tells everyday stories of work, sleep and stress. Focused on creating for the sake of creating, spiderhoney hits back against the hustle culture of modern life.

𝐂𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐝 (@abandcalledcustard)
Custard is a dream-pop/shoegaze five piece that drifts effortlessly between the ethereal and the surreal. With lush, atmospheric soundscapes, emo tinged guitars and a whimsical edge, their music feels like stepping into a daydream that’s just slightly off-kilter.

Last night I went to @burdallsyard. It was an absolute belter — a full-on trans fundraiser put together by the absolute legends @gopherit.events, @monkeyboot.presents, @cm.socials.bath and @obvious_events. One of the most wholesome, high-energy, community-driven nights I’ve seen in the Bath/Bristol scene. Proper magic.

@bitching.hour.band kicked things off with attitude — pure 70s punk swagger blended with 90s riot grrrl fire. Think Joan Jett meeting L7 in a tiny basement venue. Loud, unapologetic, empowering and completely gripping. Ones to watch for sure — they came out swinging.

Then Bristol’s own @supermarcheband stormed the stage. Genuinely one of the coolest bands in the entire local scene right now. Art punk/post punk madness with that Black Midi/Squid chaos, fused with King Krule vibes and Wunderhorse grit. If Black Midi and Wunderhorse formed a supergroup with King Krule on vocals? Yeah. That’s the vibe. Absolutely wicked.

Up next were @abandcalledcustard with their dreamy, trumpet-laced shoegaze. Soft, hazy textures mixed with almost math-rock drum chops — a super unique blend that lifts them way above your usual dream pop group. Really gorgeous stuff. They’ve got something special.

Closing the band sets were the unreal @papercrownsmusic — jazzy, art-punk brilliance blending Black Midi/Squid-inspired edges with a deep love for jazz. Wild rhythms, tight grooves, and the kind of musicianship that just makes you go “oh damn.” Easily one of Bristol’s top rising bands. Keep them on your radar.

Finishing the night was @jbhain bringing trappy, glitchy, electronic chaos — super cool vibes, perfect way to end the night.

Overall? A killer night for an amazing cause, packed with wicked bands, big energy, and everything I love about this scene. 10/10 — proper special.
