The line-up at @arctangentfestival is always stellar, but this year there was no chance that I was missing out. Finally getting to see Oathbreaker live (Rheia in full no less), Arcane Roots returning after nearly a decade, Cult of Luna and Julie Christmas doing Mariner in full (alongside other headline slots from Chelsea Wolfe & Primus), the final Heck show, the final Svalbard show, and Agent Fresco back at it were all reasons for me to make the trip across the Atlantic to bear witness. A fitting send-off for the festival’s final year at Fernhill Farm in Somerset (a move the Gloucestershire is in the books for 2027). ⠀
⠀
Over the four days I managed to bop around to (in order of appearance) Swamp Coffin, The Grey, Chalk Hands, Overhead the Albatross, Sans Froid, Lost in Kyiv, Dimscûa, Svalbard, Papangu, L.O.E, Iskandr, Witchsorrow, Otay:Onii, Psychonaut, Bucket, Ronker, Nordic Giants, Agent Fresco, Alcest, The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza, Møl, Chelsea Wolfe, The Sad Season, Wildernesses, moksha, Zatokrev, You Win Again Gravity, Conjurer, Barrens, Heck, Arcane Roots, Witch Fever, Perturbator, Bruit ≤, Primus, Meatdripper, Reclus.É, Forlorn, Jo Quail, Din of Celestial Birds, Leeched, itoldyouiwouldeatyou, Oathbreaker, Darkher, Jamie Lenman, Chat Pile, Town Portal, Humanfly, TTNG, A.A. Williams, and Cult of Luna x Julie Christmas, alongside @goldent147 @dancmorgan @morgan7757 @carloszelayah @slamsight

Some postcards and stills from this year’s @arctangentfestival

Absolutely blessed to be working along side them this year and do one of my favourite things to do (run around a field with a camera).

Very grateful to the team for their trust and letting me take the reins this year.

I decided to step out of my comfort zone this year and finally try another camping festival for the first time in 16 years. OK, so by that I mean I finally did the @2000trees_festival/@arctangentfestival double bill.

Preparing for the festival was very last minute (budget airline changing my flight, an inability to make phone calls, and a brain that does not do massively well with change was not a great start) so I went with half a roll of film and no idea what bands I was seeing.

I dont recall if I ever saw Heck back in the day but it was one of about 3 sets of the weekend I knew I was going to enjoy. It did not disappoint. I only wish I'd had a couple of rolls of film on me. Fired off a handful of shots though and these were some of my favourites.

How was ATG? Ticket booked for next year already.
