Hello Slough peeps, happy July! I don’t know how it is July already, this year is just flying by. As always at the start of a month, I do a roundup of the previous. So here is the June roundup of #sloughitsnotsobad - thank you @listen_to_the_girl @mat8iou @knobi0806 @abaraphobia for these great shots of the local area - from the Jubilee River to supercars at Cliveden, our new luxury hotel The Langley and Wexham’s “Little Library”. Keep tagging #sloughitsnotsobad and let’s show others that it’s alright around here 😉

Hello! I am so sorry I’m totally late with May’s roundup of #sloughitsnotsobad - thank you for your photos, there have been some beautiful ones this month. I do love this time of year with the sunshine and flowers blooming. I have chosen my 4 favourites - one is a ye olde map of Slough from @abaraphobia because I LOVE old maps, there’s something so entrancing about them. We have gorgeous pink rhododendrons at Langley Park from @pretty.little.snaps, what looks like tropical palm trees in Salt Hill Park from @kay.linda.h and a beautiful view by the Jubilee River from @listen_to_the_girl. It is good to see the good in this town. Because let’s not pretend that bad things don’t happen in Slough, and May had an awful tragedy earlier in the month. But for all the bad in Slough, there are more good people. And we must carry on sharing the good in this town and look out for each other. I look forward to your pretty photos of Slough in June 🌺

It’s the 1st day of a new month, which as you know means a summary of our #sloughitsnotsobad pics from the previous month. We had some really interesting ones for April, but I’ve narrowed it down to four - The Horlicks War Memorial from @abaraphobia, pretty Slough blossom from @camsteirie, a lone daffodil at Slough train station from @listen_to_the_girl and at last a vacant shop on Stoke Road being brought back to life, spotted by @knobi0806. Thank you all for joining in, and keep tagging your nice Slough photos with the hashtag so we can show people that Slough isn’t that bad.
