Two years ago working at the Four Seasons. I look stressed and I probably was because all hotels operate like they just opened yesterday. But I got to see Adam Sandler and Lil Wayne in the building and I served very many hot MLB players so I guess it was worth it. (I also worked with a lot of cool people)

Gooood Afternoon Coffee Addicts!
They want to be the best & they’re listening👂🏼

THIS WEEK’S WINNER/LOCATION
We made a stop June of 2022 when they opened. Along with the lush and lavish preconception they have with being part of the 4 Seasons, the coffee side was not up to par- @soccabygk recognized that and responded accordingly🧠

THE SCOOP
Socca has just signed on their FIRST EVER specialty cafe supervisor @Keliultra , a profound leader & growing name immersed in MN’s coffee community who has 15 years in the restaurant industry & 8 years explicitly in specialty coffee under her belt. A few projects in the works are the hunt for a new locally roaster, a barista training/coffee program, in-house syrups, & speciality drinks!👩🏼‍🏫

Simultaneously, Socca has upgraded their equipment. Not only is the espresso machine now FINALLY a manual pull (a La Marzocco Linea), they’ve procured a Mazzar grinder & PUQ press along side it. These top of the line appliances have significantly increased the shop’s quality of drinks & efficiency in how fast they are made.🛠️

In illustration of their action to the coffee community’s feedback they’ve answered by making several improvements. Socca’s quite literally putting their money where their mouth is.📝

FINAL THOUGHTS
Hey goobers, this visit was excellent. Visually it’s hard not to notice the giant taxidermy tree lol-really adds a cool aspect to the environment. In general, they’ve improved all around from everything upfront to behind the scenes. It took them a bit, but it feels really good to have the community be heard & even better to see that our feedback has been taken into consideration. Excited for what’s coming down the road. 👍🏼

This visit’s drinks: Iced Mocha & Cold Brew from @thegetdowncoffeeco 🧊☕️
