The Crown JULES👸🇬🇧✈️⛅️😜💐

I had the most unforgettable, life-changing trip to London and it has become my whole personality!!!! So glad I got to bond and explore with @rach_laurie and explore Shoreditch, Notting Hill, Neal’s Yard, Abbey Road, and all the landmarks… I even did a 3.5 hour bus tour of Rock N’ Roll history it was ICONIC!!!! I also got to see the icon @brradleyyjames and my queen @taylorswift 🤗🥳

Not pictured: Me falling and scraping my knee on day 1 of the trip, jetlag and anxiety, and making friends in the queue at eras😜

I’LL BE BACK LONDON ILY!

Well my trip has been over and if you are like me you hit the ground running…. This morning was the first chance I have had to post this incredible trip with my boyfriend John.

I have had a lot of questions from you lately…. Is that the same guy you dated last year? Yes it is….

Timing is a real thing. Life is not easy and sometimes instagram glorifies our life to look way better than it is.. it doesn’t matter how much money you have, or how many shoes you have in that closet. Life is hard for everyone. Finding love midlife is even harder. Doesn’t matter what your baggage looks like, we all have it at this point in our lives. We are combining families, pets, bad habits, good habits, hurts, walls, and all the other fun stuff that makes a relationship.

In the 5 years since I left my husband I have learned so much about myself, dating, my deal breakers, and my must haves.

I have learned that what makes a partner isn’t how tall he is, or the color of his hair, or the size of his clothes. It’s how he makes me feel. My attachment style is anxious. (if you don’t know what that means, you need to read the book “Attached.”) Knowing this, means I need to be with a person who is a secure attachment who will make me feel safe and secure. John is that man. I don’t worry when he doesn’t call me every five minutes, I know when he says he’s going to be there, he shows up, and I know that he has my back 100% of the time. On top of that, he makes me laugh, he’s romantic and thoughtful and even if he doesn’t tell me every minute how he feels about me, he shows me in other ways. For instance, Garth Brooks is my favorite singer and the very first concert I attended. Of course it was his idea to take me to Vegas to see him. John also knows that I love to take a bath every night so he makes sure that I will have a bath to enjoy at every hotel we stay in. (Which isn’t so easy these days.) I am sure we will have our fights and differences as all couples do but at the end of the day this man makes me happy. Cheers to finding that person that does that for you.

I’m lucky to have those people in my sphere and to be that person too. I think that’s how the showing up works. 🤍🩶♥️

And navigating *all the things* is quite the ride as of late.

So, I’m taking the time where it’s possible to notice the little things,
celebrate,
connect,
be in wonder and awe,
grieve,
live,
move my body,
write,
take care of me (us),
sweat,
call my mom
laugh + cry
eat what I need
call my dad
take deep breaths
snuggle
and embrace *all the things*
under crazy renovation
and rapidly changing.

The change (& discomfort to some degree),
I think, is inevitable.
