WFS2 🤍🏈

So grateful for every opportunity to play this game, compete, grow, and make memories with some amazing people. Being an athlete comes with so many highs and lows, wins, losses, pressure, lessons, and moments that challenge you. But I’m learning to appreciate all of it and not let the hard moments overshadow how blessed I am to be doing what I love.

We win some, we lose some, but there’s always something to take from every experience. Keep showing up, keep working, keep believing, and don’t let a tough moment define you. I’m so thankful for God and for the people who continue to support me, believe in me, and cheer me on no matter what. 🤍

Through every high and low, I know I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be. ✨

Let me start you here:
A couple years ago you probably wouldn’t ever think to see my last name on the back of a jersey. You probably wouldn’t see me playing for my country, an organization let alone the game itself. The words “no”, “you won’t”, “you can’t” & “you won’t ever” have replayed in the back of my head almost everyday of my life. The days where I felt like every whistle was faint for reasons that maybe I wasn’t suppose to hear them or I wasn’t suppose to play, Well…. That’s where the comeback begins. You show up, you show out, and always keep in mind YOU can do anything that you put your mind to.

God gave me a dream, a passion, and a purpose that made me who I am today. So what if I had to understand that not every clap… was a supportive one. That didn’t stop the game, nor did it stop THIS girl.
And THIS girl is telling you that you’re THAT girl.😌 stay with me now-

No one gets to tell you what you get to be in this life time. No one gets to write a story in a book about YOU that was never published for them to read. For every little girl that I watch look up to me along side the amazing women I get to play with & against… is something that keeps me going when it comes to this game. It’s bigger than most opportunities given and I refuse to take any of it for granted.

This sport of flag football builds leadership, love, sisterhood, respect, quality, purpose, control, and most importantly, unity. I may have not been within the sport as long as most but I understand the importance of it all. I see the growth, I feel the growth, and I LOVE the growth. I love being able to be apart of this to where I get to contribute to showcasing the game of flag football.

Though results of a game may vary & of course the emotional parts of it, the results of the environment in the end is what meant the most to me. Becoming one with the players you’ve just played against, congratulating them, and understanding WE have built this and created something that will continue for a lifetime. Seeing these young girls and boys with smiles on their faces in the stands, seeing parents smile at seeing their children excited, hearing them speak about how much they loved watchi
