Meet Sydney. 💛

Her sister-in-law, Abbie, nominated her, and the list says it all: Sydney’s the one who picks up the kiddo from daycare the second you need her. Who keeps the special snacks stocked in the fridge. Who has the best toy box in the family. Who quietly shows up to clean your house when she can tell you’re stretched too thin to ask.

And here’s the part that got us — she doesn’t just do this for Abbie. She does it for anyone who needs a little extra love.
That’s not a favor. That’s a way of living. People First, all the way down.

My journey as a photographer has been long and probably boring but I do know that I have had something living dormant inside me for years. Like I’ve been asleep. Since we’ve been at the ranch, I find myself wanting to pick up my camera again but I still haven’t been creatively satisfied in a really long time. This Session quite literally breathed Life back I to me. I knew that beautiful Abbie and her sweet family had a lot to do with that but I also think it’s the journey that I’m on and the life that’s changed so much for me. Finally aligning with purpose, maybe a new purpose.

Celebrating 2025 and welcoming 2026 ✨

2025 was deeply transformative for me. I dug deep in therapy, learned more about who I am, struggled and succeeded, and got clearer on what I want more of and what I want less of. I navigated a health issue, grew within my marriage, and poured into both myself and others.

I’m eager to keep striding forward - but I’ve always believed that spring is the true season of new beginnings, while winter is meant for rest. So for now, you’ll find me here: crafting, reflecting, and waiting for nature to wake back up before I do too.

You know how you can tell in the first few seconds if a place actually wants you there?

We think about that a lot.

At Kind, we focus on what we call the First 10, Last 10:
• The first 10 seconds after you walk in or pull up.
• The last 10 seconds before you leave.

In those moments, we’re trying to:
• look up and greet you like a real person,
• make sure you’re not just standing there wondering what to do,
• hand you your drink or bagel with eye contact and a real “have a good day.”

You don’t need to remember the name for it.
You should just feel like you weren’t rushed through a line — you were actually noticed.

That’s the bar we’re aiming for every time you come to Kind. 🤍
