Week 5
Wow, what a week! One of the best but most chaotic weeks of my life
Going to be honest, haven’t tracked my calories, or checked my weight in about 10 days as I have been eating intuitively, enjoyed a couple of beers and haven’t been in any sort of routine.
Only got 2 of my gym sessions done - but made sure my steps were completed.
This week was meant to be a reset but life gets in the way! Start again tomorrow 😜
1. Monday steps - 12.4k
2. Proudest moment of my career watching my girls win bronze medals at the Commonwealth games 🥹
3. Team Wagamamas with the girls and our adopted family for the weekend
4. Tuesday steps and a late night flight home - 13k
5. Straight back to training - things moving well 🚀
6. Big girl grown up stuff resulting in spending my whole day in B&Q
7. If you don’t cook too much pasta you’re not doing it properly
8. Back to covering pitch side rugby - steps 14.4k
9. Favourite breakfast ever
10. 3x3 front squats at 80kg took my soul
11. Easy dinner option for a busy gal
12. Friday steps - 14.4k
13. Unreal BBQ dinner Saturday before Luke Combs
14. BEST NIGHT EVER SEEING MY FAVOURITE SINGER 😭
15. 20.2k steps spent dancing with my people to Lukey!
16. Simple Sunday steps - 13k
17. Reminder to be kind to myself after a rollercoaster of a week

DOUBLE COMMONWEALTH BRONZE MEDALLISTS 😭🫶🏻✨

The proudest moment in my career! Em & Ab you are absolute superstars and made dreams come true!
The hardwork and dedication you have put in to winning these medals is immense.
Your first major competition, finishing 4th in Team All Around & Em finishing 7th in your Individual All Around competition is amazing!

Then Monday, Ab securing a bronze medal in an incredible vault competition. After all the knocks and disappointments you’ve had, you couldn’t be more deserving and this just shows the quality of athlete that you are!

And Em, the disappointment you had finishing 4th in the vault then 2 hours later, turn around to focus on your uneven bars routine, to then perform the best routine of your life and win a bronze medal shows your resilience and the mental strength that you have! It’s so inspiring.

I have never been prouder of two people in my life and I am so grateful to be a part of your journey!

Just a little girl who dreamed of winning medals as a professional athlete, now I get to live that dream by supporting those who dream the same ✨

Here’s to the next dream 🤸

A moment to remember🥉🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Abigail Roper became the first Welsh gymnast in 32 years to win a Commonwealth Games vault medal, producing two fantastic vaults to secure bronze in an unforgettable performance🤸🏽‍♀️

Hear Abigail reflect on a special day for Welsh gymnastics, what it means to stand on the Commonwealth podium, and the emotions of bringing home a historic medal for Wales❤️🤍💚

Daeth Abigail Roper yn gymnast cyntaf Cymru mewn 32 mlynedd i ennill medal clwyd yng Ngemau’r Gymanwlad, gan gyflwyno dwy glwyd wych i gipio’r fedal efydd mewn perfformiad bythgofiadwy🤸🏽‍♀️

Clywch Abigail yn myfyrio ar ddiwrnod arbennig i gymnasteg Cymru, beth mae sefyll ar bodiwm y Gymanwlad yn ei olygu iddi, a’r emosiynau o ddod â medal hanesyddol adref i Gymru❤️🤍💚
