We are NOT locked into a fossil-fuel, climate-doomed future 🌞🌍

We already have the technology to give everyone access to clean, affordable energy, and people around the world are showing us what’s possible.

That’s why I signed @brightside.now’s open letter calling for universal clean energy access by 2030.

Join me, Bernie Sanders, and leading climate advocates, creators, and movement leaders around the world who have already signed. (including @relauren @kuminaidoo @billmckibbenvt @earthlyeducation @jacobsimonsays @farmernick @alexhonnold @abbiesr and many more!)

We’re part of a growing movement calling for clean energy as a solution to our changing climate, and to the conflicts and violence fueled by our dependence on fossil fuels.

Want to join us?

📝 Sign the open letter and add your voice to the movement for clean energy for everyone, everywhere.
🌞 Donate $15+ to @givepower to help bring solar electricity to someone without reliable access.

The link is in my bio!

Share this with someone who needs to hear about some optimism and action.

When you see a conspiracy theory like this – saying that Big Government is dropping ticks from the sky onto your lawn – it’s probably easy for you to brush it off. But these theories aren’t popular because of their logic!

The same things that make a silly conspiracy theory attractive appear in much more harmful theories as well. Understanding what to watch for can help protect you in the future.

Be honest – have you fallen for a conspiracy theory before? Let us know what helped you escape the rabbit hole! (Or in this case… the tick box?!)

#ScienceUpFirst #LaSciencedAbord #TogetherAgainstMisinformation A box with an umbrella falling to the ground. Text in graphic: "First things first: No one is dropping boxes of ticks from the sky. (Just want to be SUPER clear on that!!). But there is something inside this box… what is it?!"

What if you could actually control someone’s mind? Well, the CIA spent 20 years trying ... and subjected countless people to horrific experiments involving drugs, hypnosis, electroshock and more along the way.

@abbiesr breaks down everything you need to know about MKUltra — and how this real scandal is being weaponized by modern conspiracy theorists.

@videoconsortium x @bottomupboston Creators Mixer was a vibe 🙌

Golden hour on the harbor, crisp brews in hand, and a space filled with creators who make everything from documentaries to newsletters to content, some beginning their careers and others already in the groove.

We need more nights like this in Boston!

The energy we shared was electric and we want to keep that momentum going. More gatherings are coming for creatives in the area, so stay tuned. 👀

Special shoutout to @videoconsortium’s own Community Manager Chantal Encalada (@mschantaal) and @bottomupboston’s Rahim Jessani (@reporter_rahim__ )for bringing this event to life.

@abbiesr
・・・
is climate change making people worse?

That’s the thing about climate denial, it is often sandwiched between truths. 🥪

Climate change is driving the wildfires we’re seeing: more frequent, more intense, more destructive (1-4). That part’s settled science.

At the same time, fires are natural and an essential part of many ecosystems, and are often started by lightning or human activity (campfires, cigarettes, etc.) (5-7). More than one thing can be true!

And behind the stats are real communities dealing with evacuations, air quality warnings, and smoke that’s traveling farther than before.

If you’re in an area affected by smoke: stay inside when you can, mask up outdoors, and check your local air quality index before heading out.

Share this if you’re tired of climate denial talking points.
