Sometimes, the hardest part of being an athlete isn't the physical work.

It's showing up when you don't feel good enough.

When the jumps aren't there.
When your confidence takes a hit.
When everyone else seems to be improving, and you're wondering if you're falling behind.
When you're struggling to be the athlete you know you can be.

Those are the moments when it's tempting to pull away. To stop talking. To stop asking questions. To stop letting people see you struggle.

But those are the moments you need your people the most.

You don't have to be performing at your best to be a valuable part of this squad.

You don't have to have all the answers.
You don't have to pretend everything is okay.
You don't have to earn the right to be supported by having a good practice.

Show up.
Stay connected.
Let people help you.
Keep doing the work.

Your teammates aren't just here to celebrate your best jumps. They're here for the days when you can't seem to find them.

And you owe them that same presence in return.

Because this is bigger than track and field.

When you feel inadequate, don't isolate yourself. When you struggle, don't disappear. When you need help, let someone in.

You belong here on the good days.

You belong here on the hard days, too.

There are too many Track & Field memories to fit into one Instagram post. Track has been a major part of my life for as long as I can remember, and I have loved every moment with my entire heart. If I could do it all again, then I would soak in every second of it.

Track shaped me not only as an athlete, but as a person. There were days and months where practice was the only thing I looked forward to, and there were also days where I contemplated quitting. Despite the ups and down, my competitive fire kept me going. The strong desire to become better everyday overpowered any feeling of defeat.

I would have never made it through all the moments, good or bad, without the support of all the people I love. Thank you to my parents, my coaches, Shomari, my teammates, and my friends. All of my track experiences would mean nothing without wonderful people to celebrate and cry with.

My track career didn’t end the way I wanted it to, but I know that God has greater plans for me. I struggled with injury and mental health during my final year of eligibility, and it tested me every single day. Ending my career without reaching my goals is painful, but I am eternally grateful for my experiences and accomplishments.
