Abby’s emotional reaction to her first look with Steven was originally intended to be private but due to a scheduling adjustment, it ended up taking place surrounded by their bridal party and close family and was all the sweeter and more personal for it. On your wedding day, embrace the unexpected, make it your own and continue to reflect on the beautiful blessing of it all as it unfolds. The decor, the dress, the rings, even the photos (yes, I said it) are all just things at the end of the day. The bond of marriage and love of your family is what is deserves the focus in this moment. . . This is your sign to get the fancy bridal prep robe!!!! My gorgeous bride, Abby, wanted the look but not the price tag so being the intelligent woman she is, she took to eBay for this stunner! She cracked me up when she told me she had “the most ostentatious robe ever” for bridal prep! The robe was so not ostentatious but rather complimented her and Stephen’s incredibly elegant and classy wedding perfectly! The best part, is being on the short and sweet side, Abby didn’t want to hem it so she could resell it also (again, wonderfully business minded), so she pinned up the bottom with safety pins and no one would have noticed if she hadn’t told us! Abby was such a dream bride for so many reasons- her eye for timeless style, her kind and caring nature mixed with her intense focus on every goal she has made serving her and Stephen a joy! . . . Steven’s family has a wonderful tradition that the grandfather presides over the wedding ceremony of his grandchildren. Unfortunately, Steven’s grandfather passed away before he could marry Abby and Steven. Steven’s dad stepped in and conducted a beautiful ceremony at @orchardlakecountryclub in front of a gorgeous wooden cross made by Steven for the day, bedecked with a garland of baby’s breath from @english_gardens. . . . . #michiganphotographer #metrodetroitphotographer #macombcountyphotographer #oaklandcountyphotographer #michiganportraitphotographer #michiganbride #michiganweddingphotographer #detroitbride #metrodetroitbride #metrodetroitwedding #michiganwedding #michiganengagementphotographer #detroitengagementphotographer #midwestphotographer #weddingdaymagazine #detroitwedding #classicwedding #timelesswedding #lightandairy #idodetroit #pamelaabdelnourphoto #detroitbridalinspiration #miweddings #lightandairyphotog #michiganweddinginspo #detroitweddingvenue #familytradition #detroitweddingphotographer #countryclubwedding

Cathedral length veils are, in my opinion, the ultimate bridal accessory. They have a beautifully feminine, steeped-in-tradition feel that is hard to match and they add incredible elegance to your wedding day look. But there are a few things to consider before buying one! 1- Where will your ceremony be held? Cathedral length veils are optimal for just that- cathedrals!!! Or rather a venue with an aisle comprised of marble or other smooth, resilient floor that will allow the veil to glide along it with ease. Being so long, if the ground it is being pulled over creates resistance (such as carpet, grass, brick, cement, etc.) it will tug on your head pretty hard and be more likely to snag. 2- The material it is made of and what type of detail the veil features (beading, lace, illusion tulle, silk tulle, etc.) will also determine how heavy it is, how it will move along the ground and how it will fall around you. 3- Heavy veils don’t “fly”… if you have your heart set on a gorgeous portrait with the cathedral length veil seemingly floating in the air behind you, you will need to avoid a lot of lace, embroidery and beading. A bit of detail can still work but if the veil doesn’t float nicely to the ground but rather falls straight down when you let go of it, it isn’t going to fly in the wind behind you either. Follow along for more wedding day tips! . . #michiganphotographer #metrodetroitphotographer #macombcountyphotographer #oaklandcountyphotographer #michiganportraitphotographer #michiganbride #michiganweddingphotographer #detroitbride #metrodetroitbride #metrodetroitwedding #michiganwedding #michiganengagementphotographer #detroitengagementphotographer #detroitwedding #midwestphotographer #weddingdaymagazine #detroitwedding #classicwedding #timelesswedding #lightandairy #idodetroit #pamelaabdelnourphoto #detroitbridalinspiration #miweddings #lightandairyphotog #michiganweddinginspo #cathedralveil #bridalveil #veil #timelessbride #bridalcouture
