Body Language – UNCW Dance Company Small Group, 2026
Co-Choreographed by Ava Colucci and Anna Liese Gaines

I’ve wanted to create a piece to this song for years, so finally getting the opportunity to bring it to life felt incredibly special. Being able to not only choreograph this work but also perform it made the experience so meaningful to me.

This piece challenged me in new ways, creatively and personally, and pushed me to trust both my voice and my instincts as an artist.

I’m so grateful to Anna Liese for believing in this idea from the very beginning and for being such an important part of this process. Creating and choreographing alongside you and getting to perform this together means so much to me.

Thank you to Dance Co for believing in our vision and giving us the space to create. And to our dancers, thank you for trusting us, for your commitment, and for the heart you put into every moment. You made this piece what it is.

I love you all so much, and I’m beyond proud and grateful for what we created together. 🤍
