🌅August🌅

What an end to my favorite summer. From making the most of every moment in bellingham, to summer camp with my favorite kids and cool new (and old) coworkers, to now long(er) distance late night phone calls, to many hours spent making my new normal mine.

Moving away from the place that has been my home my entire adult life has been many things but mostly just strange. It’s strange that I’m now a visitor on streets I know far better than the ones I live on now. It’s strange that my phone still tells me how far I am from E Maple St even though I’ll never live there again. It’s strange that although I was born and raised right here, my roots are forever pulling me back to the beaches, and cities, and sunsets up north. It’s strange that I’ll be doing this all again in a matter of months. I have no interest in staying still for long but that doesn’t change how hard it is to love a place/people/era and leave.

So farewell Bellingham. Farewell budding adulthood and farewell college life. Farewell unemployment and farewell summer jobs. Farewell summer of 2025. Thank you for the love, thank you for the memories <3
