I don't often get to film in Colorado, but when it happens, it's always special.

How do you foreshadow a story in 30 seconds?

That was the challenge for Gerry's Story, a patient testimonial we shot for our friends at CU Orthopedics.

We open on Gerry, alone in his yoga studio. Cold light and an isolated frame. As the camera circles him, the light starts to warm, and by the time we land on his face, we feel peace, warmth, and healing.

Chronic pain had been taking apart the life Gerry loved, and with the help of some of Colorado's best doctors, he got it back.

To pull this off in-camera, our crew built a huge tent around a massive wall of windows (for controlled light throughout the day), leveled a long dolly track, and synced a bank of LEDs through DMX to shift the light in real time.

More to come from this shoot soon!
