Big news for a team we’ve loved working with. 👏

Anterior, the clinician-led AI platform built for health plans, just announced a $40M funding round, bringing total funding to $64M.

What makes this one different is the “why” behind it. Anterior was founded by Dr. Abdel Mahmoud, a former physician and ex-Google product manager, who stepped away from practicing medicine after experiencing firsthand how much time and energy gets pulled away from patients because of administrative overload.

Instead of accepting it, he built something to fix it.

Today, Anterior is tackling the nearly trillion-dollar administrative burden in U.S. healthcare, helping plans and clinicians spend less time on paperwork and more time where it matters most, with patients.

This is what happens when technology is built by someone who’s actually lived the problem. Onward.
