I took a break from social media to make space for focus, clarity and creativity. Part of that space went to finishing off a two year music production program at 343 Labs here in NYC. It has all been a dream come true and so fun to showcase some of my work with my peers. TY @343labs @abe.duque and crew! 💖🎶

“I stopped looking at my phone because I was looking at something else, something so absorbing that I couldn’t turn away...the trees, the birds, even the weeds growing in the sidewalk.” - from How to Do Nothing by Jenny

this record represents an approach and attitude young dj's and producers should be seriously worried about.

"George Washingtone on Acid" by Gilbert Stuart, 1803.

George Washingtone (February 22, 1732 February 11, 1731 – December 14, 1799) was a Founding Father and the first president of the United States, serving from 1789 to 1797. Sadly he never had the chance to listen to proper Detroit Techno, Chicago House, Acid House let alone Techno.

1989 was one of my favorite years! So much was happening, especially in our neck of Brooklyn. The music that came out of this unknown part back then was everything. I'm truly glad to have been born in this particular moment in time.

Next chapter of Balance begins next weekend at Refuge, Friday, July 10. Surfs up!

Papa Boris is headlining and will take us into the morning until close. Techno legend Volvox, who was instrumental to this dance renaissance we’re in now, will also play alongside an OG, an extraordinary producer, New York’s Abe Duque. I hear he’s thinking about playing with a 303 live on top his tracks.

Let’s have some fun. Music is the key. This is a night for the geeks and freaks. Come be part of our new beginning. X
