upon moving to utah, my life has truly felt like a strange movie. i can see the ending of this one, because it’s already happening.
it’s a story with the full range of genres. all the emotions. all the change, the plot twists, the comedy and romance. the heartbreak and the loss and the music montages, the point where you think it’s the happy ending but suddenly it’s not, but one more thing had to be resolved and suddenly it is.
the most important things i learned, as many tend to say, were outside the classroom.
resilience. understanding. open mindedness. patience. joy. love. difficult but you are still good love. confusing but we can move past it love. from afar but i’m still rooting for you love.
healthy love.
but after sharing my work and continuing to grow, i can honestly say that i am proud of myself. i am proud of how i have changed and made the worst parts of the movie my greatest successes.
of course, what i am most proud of is my words. the documentation of pretty much everything i’ve experienced has been to build community and hope that i could make social media different, that i could open the door for people to feel ok being real, to feel safe in sharing their emotions, and for everyone to connect.
i am so excited for the next movie. i am so excited to keep growing and keep writing.
i want you to know that no matter where you are in life- whether you’re steps away from your future like me, or just starting out, or in the process of starting over- you should be proud of yourself. be proud of who you are. be proud of the fact that you are living and breathing today and that you have stories to share. be proud of your resilience, your kindness, your ability to make a room laugh. be proud of how you can make a person smile, or how easily math comes to you, or all of the hours working a stressful job to make it one step closer. what you do is worth it. and i don’t care if nobody else is proud of you. i am. you’ve come so far and you still have much greatness ahead. i love you, and every chapter matters. keep movin bug

It is the morning of a new chapter of my life. 🧂🧂🧂
As I’ve now finished barber school, I will soon be starting work at the @saltybarbers shop on Center street in Provo. For the next month or so, hours may vary, but you can still find my schedule link in my bio and book with me.
If you’ve been in my chair before or have caught me staring at your haircut, rest assured I’ll fight to earn your trust here at my new location. Let’s make some magic. 🤘🏻🤘🏻💀🧂

There are people who’ve played small, quick roles in my life, and people who’ve been there for days, months, and years on end. For every person I’ve known, I’ve never met one that was insignificant or replaceable. I’ve only ever met irreplaceable souls.

Whether or not you believe in Him, for me it says a lot about our worth and our Savior’s love—that He saw each one of us as irreplaceable enough to be willing to take on Him all of our individual sins and pains (Alma 7:11-13).

I hope you can trust in your own goodness this year, to know that you’re truly irreplaceable. There’s no one in the world like you, and we all desperately need you as you are.
For all the wonderful people in my life, far more than the 20 Instagram allows me to tag:

Thank you.
