“The Karate Kid” is one of my favorite movies of all time, but no one geeks out over it with me the way @abeswaves does. He’s actually the one who convinced me to watch “Cobra Kai” after I stubbornly refused to give it a shot. Funnily enough, I referenced Daniel-san and Mr. Miyagi in the lyrics for ‘Wavy’, one of our first collaborations ever. Years before we discovered our shared “Karate Kid” obsession. Life is full of beautiful coincidences.

For the past year, @abeswaves and I have been working on this record with the most creative and talented people I’ve ever met. As of today, “Ghost on Mulholland” is out everywhere, and I’d be lying if I said that didn’t make me a little anxious. But most of all, I’m just happy you can listen to it now. Thank you so much for jamming with me. Love y’all.🧡

“These arguments inside my head they could be televised. No worries, I’m all good. My smile is one of my better lies.”

Yesterday @abeswaves and I were listening to voice memos from the night we wrote this song and the first thing he said when I showed him the hook was, “That sounds like something Dexter would say.” Now all I want out of life is to hear Michael C. Hall narrate these lyrics as he walks through a crowded Miami police station with a box of donuts. Is that too much to ask?

‘Better Lies’ is out now, and if you want to listen to it or whatever, I wouldn’t be mad.

Featuring @agustin_mas_ on guitar, @sebastrums on drums and @georgespits behind the boards. All visuals by @krolhaus 🧡
