A few days ago it was my birthday and Alex gifted me a story recap on our time on the timberline trail. Funny enough I was drafting this reel and planned on posting it in honor of her birthday. Well here it is, happy birthday Alex!! Can’t wait to share many more miles on trail and in life this upcoming year. Proper counter-clockwise this time. 🙃

Our first Ethereal Glacier camp (aka ethereal Chateau) this winter was one for the books!

With nonstop laughter, skill building, pow, splitter weather, yoga, and good food chef-ed up daily…the glacier camp provided and felt good to have on the docket as the winter continued to flail.

Leading up to the trip we had workshops on Alaska weather, glacier anatomy, glacier travel, crevasse rescue and remote trip planning. Once we finally landed in the field together, we slowed down, applied the sparkles and cranked up the music, briefing the group on decision making each day, running through our technical skill workshops with hands on practice, and allocating time for reflection and mindful movement.

The trip was inspiring, and led us to froth and dream of more….more days out there, more skiing, more trips together, and more high quality coffee. It also shined a light on the the depth we were able to cram in to a “ski trip”, both in skill building and by introducing a new approach to ski trips. That was without a doubt an Ethereal trip, with many more to come. Cheers, ladies!

Huge thanks for supporting this trip in various ways (flights, drops, art, film, etc)! 🙌🏼 @bushairak @goat_mountain_air @brendanwellsak @megsmith.art.design @northernaspectsfilmfest @ak_tosha 💛

Valle Blanche this winter. Such a cool mountain - for the uninitiated Valle Blanche is a 20km single run that takes the famous Aguilli d’Midi lift up Mt. Blanc. You descend down a glacier navigating crevasses and ice flows to make it to Mer d’Glace. If you need a guide - @danielpobeguide was our guide and took these amazing photos.

ski was remarkable but most memories actually came from all the other shenanigans we got ourselves into… it’s too bad storytelling doesn’t go very far on a highlight reel 🥲
