I’m so thankful for all the beautiful people in our lives 🧡 Mila was so busy playing with all her friends she didn’t make a single appearance in photos I took. But I can tell you she ended up eating three pieces of pumpkin pie today (And so did I!)

Happy National Son’s day!

These are some pics from Chicco’s 1st trip to Italy❣️

What was so special was that he was able to meet and spend time with so many of our friends and family (his Italian nonna and bisnonna (great grandma) pictured here!)

The last video clip I took just walking beside Filippo and Chicco in front of the house Filippo grew up in with his family.

I remember in that moment thinking about the beginning of last year, sitting on the balcony overlooking the fields and praying to one day have a baby, and visualizing our future baby. What I focused on in my meditation was filippo carrying this baby with me on this exact field so it was so incredibly special to be here now with our little love bug. It’s so cool when things come full 🔘!

The morning after the wedding ✨☕️☕️☕️☕️🥐🍦🍕

Woke up in the castle, and some friends departed to go visit different cities in Italy and others woke up early to catch a flight back home.

The rest of us had a slow morning fueled by lots of espresso, sweet breakfast, gelato, pizza and a “pisolino” (nap).

It’s an italian tradition for the bride and groom to sleep on new sheets when they return from their wedding…I loved these ones Filippo’s mom surprised us with 😂

Party at the castle! 🏰

That was my bridesmaids’ rally chant leading up to our big day.

I’ve been looking through all the photos from friends and these are some of my faves.

When we planned our wedding tables, at first Filippo organized it in groups of people that knew each other from work, Uni, home town friends, etc…

I told him we are doing it all wrong- we gotta mix it up!

My theory is that it was an incredible opportunity for different friends from different chapters in our lives and from all over the world (LA, NY, Chicago, Melbourne, Oahu, Ghana, Scotland, Japan, London, Milan, Turin, Arceto, Florence, Rome, Munich, Sicily, Houston, SF, Spain…and the list goes on) to meet and enjoy a glass of Italian wine and tortelli together. 🥂

Through transitive property I knew they would all get along great! That’s always my rule of thumb- when you bring together awesome people they are going to hit it off!

I remember looking out at dinner and just wanting to be hanging with everyone at once and hoping the night wouldn’t go by too fast.

I wanted it to be the slowest most beautiful day of my life.

So grateful for all our friends who made the trip to celebrate our long distance love with us.

I don’t know where to start...💓

@ko.in.places asked me what was my favorite part of the wedding day and there can’t be just one.🤷🏻‍♀️

It was a continuous feeling that had us on a ✨magic carpet ride all weekend.

Some people thought we were crazy to plan a destination wedding with a newborn. Well turns out we are bananas!🍌🍌🍌

A series of special moments + hugs w/ people we only get to see a few times a year or decade.

I’ve been taking the last few days to ride the high of the wedding + unwind. Is there a term for post wedding recovery mode?

These are just a few pics from the beginning of the wedding.

My favorite moments in the beginning was seeing all my bridesmaids bustling around me like a swarm of ladybugs that morning.

A highlight was 5 minutes of meditation with Mallory before putting on my dress and heading down the hill to the church. It was so needed to calm.

A comedic drive to the church with my bestie @christineuptown driving me and my family to meet the wedding car through the hills of Reggio Emilia. It felt like a Chinese fire drill. I even fit in a moment to feed the baby one more time before hopping into the wedding car.

And one specific moment that I will treasure forever, which was arriving in the Duomo with my dad holding my hand and seeing Filippo at the alter looking our way and then recognizing all the faces of our friends and family in the beautiful cathedral looking back at us.

It felt like a wave 🌊 of love that was directed towards us as we entered. The most magnificent feeling of grace and joy and support in one.

I’ve got so many more photos to go through and share, but for now just want to say thank you to everyone who shared this day with us and who helped make it possible 🙌🏼

Planning a destination is not for the faint of hearts. Grateful for my partner in life @fillolod who had to do more wedding coordination (luckily he’s good at spreadsheets) than the average groom and was the mvp of whole darn thing!
