STRONG WOMEN. THE FOUNDATION OF RESILIENT FAMILIES, THRIVING BUSINESSES AND FUTURE GENERATIONS.
COMMON GROUND IS COMING.

77% of Australian family businesses surveyed lack a formal succession plan. Yet 73% recognise strong family values as key to business success.

Family Business Association, 2025
What if the future of family business depends as much on the women and relationships behind it as the assets being transferred?
Across rural and urban Australia, mothers, daughters, mothers-in-law and daughters-in-law help connect generations, strengthen families and support business continuity. Yet their voices and contributions are often overlooked.

THE RESEARCH IDENTIFIED THE NEED. WE CREATED COMMON GROUND AS A RESPONSE.

Three research-informed conversation decks designed to challenge assumptions, open conversations and strengthen relationships:
Everyday Conversations | Women on the Land | Women in Family Business

Investing in women and family relationships is investing in resilient, thriving generations.

More than a deck. A movement.

Launching October–November 2026. Register your interest and join the Common Ground movement.

Working It Out Now, where relationships are built, one conversation at a time.

Small talk isn’t avoidance, sometimes it’s the only way in.

A drive through Central Queensland with producer and photographer @wildchip, my husband Bob, and I became far more than a property visit. We travelled to a remarkable 160,000-hectare cattle station near Clermont, where Blair and Josie Angas welcomed us into their fifth-generation family operation. @signature_beef

Their vertically integrated paddock-to-plate business produces heavily marbled Angus and Belmont Red cross cattle from a single herd, supplying fine dining tables and exporting to more than 30 countries.

Yet what impressed us most was not the scale, but the family behind it. Alongside their daughters, sons, daughter-in-law and grandchildren, Blair and Josie steward land, livestock and family with deep respect and care.

They do not lead with succession talk. They meet, listen and communicate, holding the family as a vessel that nurtures creativity, goals, skills and drive, even beyond farming.

We filmed, listened, shared the best steak I have ever eaten, and witnessed a family showing us a better way.
