I’ve been blessed with really sweet carrying friends in my life. I wanted to thank them with these paintings :) I did a portrait of each of us doing the things we love! The gold paint swirling around us is our connection between each other and how these paintings will be connected even when separate, just like our friendship ❤️

I waited to post this on the Feast of Our Lady because it fits this wreath’s theme so well.

This is the most important wreath I could create this season and it quickly became one of my favorites. Pink and purple Amaranthus and bows is a subtle substitute to the candles as a modern twist to the original advent wreath only seen on one’s own dining room table… now transformed to be intended for your door or above a mantle.

As we wait for our Lord Jesus to be born this Christmas, we get to prepare our hearts for His coming. This is the Advent season.
Our Lady reflects this so well as she prepared carrying our Lord in her womb. And her yes to bring Him earth side. The way she carried Him with courageous certainty while her reality was so unsettling. She shows us how to ready our hearts and bodies to invite Our Lord into our lives. It began with her yes to carry Him for 9 months and until the Cross.. Her life was meant to reflect the Lord. As we are also called to do.
When we see Mary, we face Jesus.
May we also reflect on Mary’s preparation for the coming of Jesus and mimic her selfless and courageous devotion this season before Christmas.

He arose for you, let’s celebrate Him during this season.
