Every time I think about how many days and nights they spent wondering if they would survive, I’m reminded that they didn’t just survive. They’re not just alive. They’re LIVING.

Dolce was a victim of cruelty, then spent a year behind bars as a court case dog, held as evidence in a crime committed against him. Mac was seized in a felony animal cruelty case involving Cane-9 “Rescue,” along with 50 other dogs.

And somehow, they both ended up in homes with @rescueme_atl crazy dog moms who subject them to their questionable ideas, embarrassing photo shoots, and the “cutest” outfits.

Their pasts were unimaginable. Their present is just embarrassing.

He couldn’t believe we wanted to spend the day with him.

So we made sure to make it the best day ever, just in case he didn’t get another chance.

We found out he loves to give hugs, fetch and especially loves peanut butter treats.

All the things a dog should know, was a surprise to him.

It’s like he didn’t know life could look like this.

But the worst part…

Is that he might not get the chance to live it forever.

Geek’s story part # 1

After driving 2 hours to see the invisible dog…

We opened the door,
and our jaws dropped…

“There’s no way SHE has waited here her whole life…”

That’s when a shelter staff member started crying, and said
“We’ve tried so so hard. We don’t know what else to do.”

We hugged her and told her,
they’ve done nothing wrong.
She’s just another good dog in a rural shelter
That the world doesn’t see.

So we promised we would try our hardest,
And we wouldn’t stop making noise until she’s home.
So here she is, it’s only one photo,
But we’re hoping it’s enough.

I got to spend the day with a dog in one of the most rural areas of Georgia.

I got to spend my day with Tank, who has waited a year in this very kennel for someone to choose him.

So we put him in the silly hat, took the funny videos, got the cute pictures

But that’s not the reality. And for a moment I was lost in what could be his life, but not before reality could bring me back to what he really lives

What broke me is seeing the hope drain from his face

He’s like a different dog when he has to go back to being alone

And it’s hard to be seen in a sea of other dogs, who might have cooler colors, softer fur, floppier ears, or longer hair.

However, what’s easy to see, is his heart when you meet him.

He’s lovable, he’s mannered, he’s grateful and he’s ready.

He’s ready to start his new life, one that he gets to hear the words “love”, and “good boy” every day.

A life where he’s no longer sleeping alone, surrounded by the reminder that nobody is coming for him.

Hey yall we're back with another pupdate. Look who came to see us at the vet today 🤗

🐾 PUPDATE: Shirley, now Aspen! ❤️

It’s been two weeks since this sweet girl started her next chapter, and just look at that smile! 🥹

Shirley — now lovingly called Aspen by her adoptive mom — is settling in beautifully and getting absolutely showered with love. ❤️

These are the updates that make every rescue, every long day, and every second chance worth it.

Aspen has a heart murmur so the plan is to get her an Echocardiogram before we schedule her spay to make sure heart ❤️ can handle anesthesia 😌

But other than that, she's absolutely perfect!

There were so many people that helped make this possible for Aspen and we can't thank you enough.

Happy looks SO good on you, Aspen! 🐾🏡💕

Before we log off for our much needed time away we wanted to share some exciting news with you all 😊

In true rescue fashion we had to save some lives today.

So here it is... Welcome Kimmy and Ian to the rescue. We also saved Shirley yesterday 🥹

We couldn't save any of these dogs without so many wonderful people helping make this possible ❤️ we couldn't do half of what we do without all of you.

🐾 MEET NOODLE — HIS SECOND CHANCE STARTS NOW!

Today, we got to say one of our favorite words…

SAFE. ❤️

Noodle came into one of our shelter partners as a stray. No family came looking for him, and shortly after arriving, he received another piece of difficult news — he tested positive for heartworms.

But none of that has changed who Noodle is.

He is sweet. He is easygoing. He is gentle. And somehow, after everything, he's still ready to trust the people around him. 🥹

Today, Noodle left the shelter behind and officially became part of the **Krusty & Stokes Rescue family.🐾

His journey isn't over. Heartworm treatment is ahead, and he'll need some time before he's ready for his forever chapter.

But tonight?

Tonight, Noodle is safe. ❤️

And this sweet boy is living proof that second chances are always worth the wait.

Welcome to your new beginning, Noodle. 🐶❤️
