![“kaathaloram” is a deeply soothing malayalam track by mangosteen club, hariprasad sr, ajay jishnu sudheyan, and ashok ponnappan.
released in 2023, the music leans into an inviting acoustic pop style. it features gentle guitar strumming and expressive violin melodies that give the entire track a very warm and uplifting mood.
the vocals carry a romantic tone, matching the lyrical themes of searching for new shores and simply living a life filled with love. a soft acoustic tide carrying quiet promises of romance.
the official music video stands out for its beautiful storytelling, as it centers on a tender and authentic gay relationship. this thoughtful inclusion of an lgbtq romance gives the song an extra layer of meaning, making the overall experience feel highly inclusive and emotionally resonant.
the artists behind the song belong to an independent music collective called mangosteen club, which was originally formed by musicians during the lockdown. they often blend acoustic instruments with indie pop, creating refreshing and heartfelt regional music.
