Last verbose caption for a while we promise, but our dining room was made by so many different hands and with so much love & dedication and we simply have to talk about it:

Corey & Deneill took on the impossible task of turning the restaurant around in 90 days and not only accomplished it, but completely exceeded every expectation. Victor & Francisco worked tirelessly to bring it all to life — never judging Natasha or me for not knowing how to do the whole construction thing. Philippa & George transformed our Pinterest boards into something so very perfect (and they were never afraid to say ‘absolutely not’ to some of my more asinine FB marketplace finds). Bastien, with two kids and many other jobs, worked into the wee hours of the night to make our most cherished cabinet (and table tops and counter and he installed our handrail and and and…). Matt sourced beautiful Alder and found the perfect stain before crafting the wainscotting of the restaurant—the cornerstone of what makes it feel so cozy in there. Jingbo gifted us the other half of our wine fridge duo, after hearing I found the first on Craigslist — he wanted them back together and so now they are, on the corner of Hillhurst & Russell in a tiny little restaurant we get to call ours. Grayson & Van jumped in when we needed them most, Daniel & Calla stood on ladders and spray painted cables to get our speakers up and running, Suzy let us use all of her old artwork from England, Sarah painted us a water color of the Roussillon, Vatche built us a most-necessary awning, Rogelio and Roberto swooped in at the end when shelves were falling and Toast needed wiring, etc etc etc…. We could go on and on. So many people have touched this place and we are immensely grateful and forever indebted to them. Thank you all 🤎

And now, it’s just a restaurant!? With doors open from 530-1030pm, Wednesday through Saturday?! We can hardly believe it but we can’t wait to share it with all of you. See you tonight xx
