POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Once, I had a home, a garden, and a life that felt ordinary. Today, I find myself building a tent just to have a place to sleep.
Sometimes, you don’t realize how precious the simplest things are until they become memories.
This is my reality in G@za. 💔

To the lycéens of France: a statement of solidarity from veterans of the Student Intifada at Columbia University

We offer our European comrades a synthesis of lessons learned in the last three years of revolt, on campuses and in the streets, in the hope that insight into our successes and failures might help them in their own struggle: "We will not instruct you on tactics, as that is for you all, who carry the risk, to decide. But we offer you the following lessons from our own battleground in the hope that some of what we learned, including what we failed to do, may be useful to you."

‏when I sit alone, I feel as though the entire world is arrayed against us. I imagine how the rest of the world lives in homes with electricity, water, and safety; sleeping peacefully and waking without fear. Yet, this universe has an Almighty Lord capable of shifting the balance of power in a single second, capable of turning the world upside down in the blink of an eye. And to the world that failed to come to Gaza’s aid: prepare yourselves for days you will never be able to endure. Who could bear living in this tent, or surviving on the seashore during these harsh times and severe weather depressions? It has been three years now that we have been conveying this suffering, yet no one responds to us. Why such abandonment? Why such silence? Why?❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹

ثلاث سنوات أثبتت أن المرء قد يتحمل ما لا يطاق، وأن القلوب قد_
.تنكسر آلاف المرات دون أن تتوقف عن الصمود

Three years have proven that a person can endure the unbearable, and that hearts can break a thousand times without ever stopping to stand strong.
3 أعوام وليس 3 أيام
Three years, not three days.💔
Üç yıl, üç gün değil.💔
Trois ans, pas trois jours.💔
Tres años, no tres días.💔

With Palestinian flags taking center stage at the protests, we express our utmost solidarity with the revolutionary French students who are rising up against a corrupt system that has turned its backs on its youth. For over two weeks, hundreds of schools have been blockaded across the country, with over 6,000 arrests so far. Today, on the biggest day of demonstrations yet, union members are joining the thousands of high school and university students taking the streets, demanding a better future for our generation.

This is where I come from.

I took this photo among the ruins, but when I look at it, I don’t only see what was destroyed.

I see everything I am still trying to build.

This year, my sisters and I graduated from high school. Now, we are trying to start university and continue our education despite everything around us.

I don’t know exactly what the future holds.
But I know I don’t want the ruins to be the last chapter of my story.

I want to study. I want to write. I want to build a future.
