Last week, I had the honor and privilege of attending the 22nd Thurgood Marshall College Fund Leadership Institute, my third and final (as a student), and I finally got to do so in-person in New York City! I can’t begin to explain how much this conference and organization have done for me over the past two years, but I can’t be more grateful to TMCF and its hard working team of young black professionals. It’s been a blessing being able to represent PVAMU on a national level.

The biggest highlight of this trip was networking and reconnecting with more than 400 of my peers from over 40 HBCUs across the United States, and I also got to finally meet individuals I’ve known only virtually for the past two years. From adolescent reunions to meeting several of my fraternity brothers and fellow SGA Presidents, this year’s LI was truly a great time. With guidance and corporate connections from an organization that’s immensely dedicated to ensuring my success, I was fortunate enough to participate in four job interviews during the conference. That doesn’t include the incredible sessions and professional networking opportunities that were provided through the career fair, events, and the Fundraising Gala. I’ve truly left this conference in an Empowered State of Mind.

As I prepare to graduate this school year, I’m excited to know that my future is being set up for greatness. My goal now is to return to LI, next time as a recruiter and sponsor, and I know that I’m going to make that happen. ⚡️

Reflecting back on this monumental moment, for myself personally and @allpeep_. Sharing the space with Founders that are leveling the playing field in their industries from HBCUs, Sub-Saharan Africa, and the entire @harvardinnovationlabs community has been truly amazing. Another Brick landed on the AllPeep foundation.🧱 Excited for what the future holds.
