about-faces Headache. Released Wednesday 9th September 2026. Fronted and dually sung by cousins Sennen Ludman and Danielle Capstick, about-faces channel shared experience and contrasting perspectives into their music, two voices that collide and converge across dynamic, emotional arrangements, their songs teetering between holy euphoria and total collapse. The track is about the anxiety and frustration of being young in a world that feels increasingly overwhelming. It looks at the strange combination of internet paranoia, job insecurity, social isolation and the pressure to make something of yourself, while constantly feeling like you’re falling behind. The lyrics move between wanting to escape, wanting to tear everything down and ultimately recognising that sometimes you just need to stop, breathe and take things a little less seriously. It was inspired by the feeling of watching modern life unfold through a phone screen, conspiracy theories, bad news, endless opinions and the pressure to have your life figured out, alongside the more everyday realities of rejection, 9–5 work and trying to find your place. There’s a tongue-in-cheek quality to it, but underneath that is a genuine sense of anxiety and disillusionment. Sonically, the track is energetic, melodic, combining driving guitars and a punchy rhythm section with a big, anthemic chorus. It has a restless, forward-moving feel that reflects the subject matter, while the repeated “take it easy” refrain provides a more hypnotist and irony.. The result is a song that feels both euphoric and uneasy, like dancing your way through a bit of an existential crisis. @aboutfacesband

about-faces - Glory. Released Tuesday 5th May. Leeds indie-band about-faces release their latest single ‘Glory’. ‘Glory’ is a reflective, tongue-in-cheek look at growing up in Leeds and the quiet, inevitable drift that comes with it. “The song came from one of those strange encounters, where you see someone from a past life and it makes you realise how much time has passed without really noticing. It’s about growing up, watching people find their version of stability and figuring out where you stand in that. There’s a bit of humour in it, a bit of disbelief, but mostly it’s just me trying to make sense of how people from the same area; teenage friendship circles; can take completely different directions, and how life can change what you want from it.” For Fans Of: Sam Fender, The War on Drugs, Gang of Youths. @aboutfacesband
