Had the privilege of roaming alongside my brothers @aboveonlyfilms and @jeanmsumo, with my sister @lizsumo_ holding it down as Jib Operator 1 and #ElderWash serving as Jib Operator 2.

Proximity and access are not the same. Everyone may have access, but not everyone carries the same level of proximity. Proximity comes with invitations that have the power to change a life. In my case, that invitation was sonship.

Receiving the inquiry to serve at the conference in December 2022 was the invitation I never saw coming, I knew I needed, but had no idea this would be the journey. It has completely transformed the trajectory of my life.

THIS spiritual father imparted what I lacked, then entrusted us to serve, represent, and steward his vision both in and beyond his presence. I do not take that weighty responsibility lightly. What many now see is simply the fruit of faithful duplication and multiplication.

CCFM is not merely an organization, it is a relationship. It is the relationship that grounded me as a pastor, gave me a community I had never experienced, and continually provides meaningful opportunities to advance the vision, mission, purpose, and assignment of the leader God sent into my life.

I am still processing what this week represented: overseeing production across both a ballroom and an arena, coordinating multiple jibs, roaming camera operators, and live broadcast teams, leading a 40+ person crew, managing around the clock logistics for an entire department, receiving mentorship and real time coaching, all while enjoying fellowship with the saints, strengthening the bond with my brothers, and loving on my wife WHO IS HER OWN WEEK RECAP.

I never dreamed for this because I never knew it was possible.

Bishop and Pastor, thank you for allowing me to serve and trusting me to help build the next generation of leaders and creatives. I am eternally grateful. 🙏🏿

I believe God! Very humbled to be a part of capturing this precious moment in excellence! My work is my worship. I might not get to dance and fall out all the time but I get to help tell God stories in excellence! Nothing fills me with more joy!! Praise God!🙏🏾

Our Sumo Studios team was outside all week serving as the official production partner for CCFM Conference: The King’s Summit 2026.

We handled the whole production ecosystem:
🎥 Live streaming
📹 Multi site recording
🏟️ Arena, ballroom, and classroom coverage
🚶🏾‍♂️ Roaming cameras, gimbals, and jib operation
⚡ Same day BTS edits
📸 Photography
🎬 Documentary capture
🎛️ Full A/V and production oversight

But last night…

😂 We put the clipboards down and picked the cameras up.

The A Team hit the roaming cams in partnership with Naomi Raine and absolutely went to work. Every operator was catching moments like it was Game 7.

What. A. Night.

137 | Been in Atlanta for the weekend and boy it was one for the books.

We filmed @warrenbroadnax and @bbroadnax_’s boy @im3verett crossing the stage at @morehouse1867. Proud of you big dawg!!

I was glad to be in the room with him and @mdukessamuels for the 142nd commencement with 572 boys who left as men! Glad Dukes had some Houston love on The Hill with him!

I did camera and lens test for my feature film @neildearmancamera and got to catch up with come of ATL’s coldest @drewmitchelldop & @panaman_inc.

Got to rock with my boy @novmbr_2econds on sound for the weekend also.

Finally met with my new creative homie @studiochardae!

And closed out the weekend with a baptism of encouragement and confirmation as we navigate this media landscape with my good sis @bellatashe.

I can’t forget how warm I felt seeing my sister, my Olivia Pope/Shirley Chisholm, @simone_imannnni.

And what a thrill to bump into the GOAT @davebrownusa (we may be cooking something in Houston soon)!

More than all this, I’m grateful to my friends. My fam @89kings @chelsea_rae328 @aboveonlyfilms and @elishasumo for still holding down their big bro on every media/film/housing/transpo front these many years later.

135 | 😭Welp, we rolled “tape” on official camera and lens tests today for my upcoming feature @witnessmarksfilm. 🫠😳😮‍💨🥶😨😂👀🙏🏾🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️🫡😅😂😃😃

Between jobs, I pulled together some of my Atlanta film tribe and connected with the amazing team at @neildearmancamera (thanks again @thisisfilmatic for the referral).

We spent hours pulling our camera bodies, lenses, filters, etcz and swapping thing to our hearts’ content.

Let me be clear, there is an ARMY of a crew and cast building quietly behind the scenes… developing decks and language to build a visual tissue for this film…. But out of all the calls, pitches, and investment decks… today somehow felt a different level of real.

Thank you @elishasumo for boiling a decade of prep into this 30sec reel. You don’t miss.

While honor itself costs nothing but honesty, it means everything! You will receive from the gifts God places in your life to the degree you honor them and I’m grateful for people who love, support, and show up because of HONOR! Thank you all for helping us birth it, again! ❤️

‼️ In The Red… My Hearts Reflection: Two weeks ago I had the honor and privilege of witnessing months of planning, years of prayer, an abundance of faith, repeated radical obedience, and a team of hearts wanting to see God’s will done on earth collide and make real- make tangible, the vision God gave Pastor @elishasumo for @journeysmusic_ next.

Two full days, in the red. Recording, photo shoots, drops, briefs, debriefs, podcast tapings, overdubs, etc… This was only possible because each heart and mind connected stayed “In The Red”. If you haven’t caught that by now, well, maybe I’ll explain it more later. What I really wanna say is, this experience was life changing, though present to support logistically, I was blessed over, and over, and over, well before cameras were set up and certainly well after tear down. Actively watching excellence go from thought to evidence. Ooohhh the fruit (😂)! I’m so proud of the entire team!

It was an honor and pleasure to serve in the capacity of Logistics & Hospitality Manager. Thank you @elishasumo for trusting me with such a task to serve in this way! To go from being an attendee, crying and carrying on, to watching in real time passion, purpose, and promise collide in this way- the best way to describe it all is “mind blowing”. And thank you Lady @larondayevell & @lizsumo_ for loving on me the way you do!

I left this experience inspired, encouraged, peaceful, sore from laughing so much, and with an abundance of new family & friends I’ll cherish forever !

Still on cloud 🔟. Can I love on these people for a moment? Canada was a faith move. Stretching internationally can come with all of the feels. Even up to the minute before we went out on stage I was in tears.

I couldn’t have asked for a better group of people to stretch and cross borders with. I could be vulnerable with them — express my nervousness and fears — and they came full of faith and so much more.

I love y’all beyond words. I will never forget this weekend. I will never forget your faith. I will always cherish your yes when you could be anywhere else.

You don’t need a big budget. You need the right people.

This BTS is proof; our friends showed up because that’s what your people do when you’ve built real trust. Me and Vincent have learned: your village isn’t just support, it’s your strategy. Call your friends. Cast your vision. Let them in. The day will come when you can pay them everything they’re worth and then some. Until then, be faithful with what you have and who you have.

And stop talking yourself out of asking. Don’t decide for your friends that they’re too busy or they’ll say no, give them the chance to answer for themselves. You never know what they’ll say. 🤍

If you’re building something, take a look around, because your team is your village.
